Wednesday, the 25th of February, 1651.

Prayers.

Embassy from Hanso Towns.

LETTERS of Credence from the Burgemasters and Senators of Lubeck, Bremen, and Hambrough, for themselves, and in the Name of the rest of the Hanse Towns, to Lyon of Aisema their Resident, dated the 16th of January 1652, were this Day read.

Letters of Credence, from the Burgemasters and Senators of the City of Hambrough, to the said Lyon of Aisema, dated the 15th of January 1652, were this Day read.

Resolved, That the said Resident have Audience in the House late called the Lords House, according to the Rule on Friday next, at Ten of Clock in the Forenoon; and that Sir Oliver Fleming, Knight, Master of the Ceremonies, do give him Notice thereof, accordingly.

Correspondence with Sweden.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of State, to draw a Letter to be sent to the Queen of Sweden, to be presented to the Parliament for their Approbation; and that the same be signed by the Speaker: And that the Council of State do present to the House the Name of a fit Person to be employed in that Service to the said Queen.

Robbers.

Resolved, That an Act be brought in for giving Ten Pounds to such as shall discover and apprehend any Robbers on the Highway, or Persons guilty of Burglary: And that Mr. Long do bring it in, accordingly.

Clipping Coins.

Resolved, That Sir James Harrington do bring in the Bill touching the preventing the Clipping and Imbasing of Coins, To-morrow Morning the First Business.

Harrison's Petition.

The humble Petition of Thomas Harrison, a Member of Parliament, with a Narrative thereunto annexed, were this Day read.

Dodsworth.

Resolved, That * Dodsworth be sent for as a Delinquent.

Navy.

Resolved, That Colonel Blague be continued in that Command at Sea, that formerly he had, for Nine Months.

Resolved, That it be referred to the Council of State, if they think fit that another Person be joined with Colonel Blake, that they do then consider of a fit Person, and present his Name to the Parliament, for their further Consideration.

Admiralty, &c.

Ordered, That the Bills for settling the Affairs of the Admiralty and Navy, and touching the Ordnance and Stores, be read To-morrow Morning.

Kirke's Petition.

The humble Petition of Sir David Kirke Knight was this Day read.

Resolved, That it be referred to the Council of State, and that they be impowered to consider of what Places, in Parts beyond the Seas, are necessary to be taken in, for the Security or Advantage of the Commonwealth; and to put the same in Execution, as they shall think fit for the Publick Good.

Order amended.

Ordered, That, in the Order of Parliament of the One-and-twentieth of November 1651, concerning the Accounts of Colonel Kynaston, the Word "Horse" be made "Foot;" and that the Order be amended accordingly.
