Prayers.

Delinquents Estates.

ORDERED, That an Act be brought in on Tuesday next, for Continuance of the Commissioners for Compounding: And Mr. Love is to bring in an Act, accordingly.

Fens.

Resolved, That the Report touching the Fens be made on this Day Fortnight.

Irish Affairs.

The House, according to former Order, resumed the Debate of the Business touching Ireland.

Resolved, That it be referred to the Council of State, to consider of some fit Person to command the Military Forces in Ireland, under the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland; and to present the Name of such Person to the House, for their Allowance.

Act of Oblivion.

Resolved, That the Debate upon the Act of Oblivion be resumed on Tuesday Morning next, the first Business; nothing to intervene: And that Mr. Speaker do put the House in mind thereof.

Irish Affairs.

Resolved, That next after the Act of Oblivion, the House do take into Consideration the Qualifications for Ireland, on Tuesday next; nothing to intervene: And that Mr. Speaker do put the House in mind thereof.

Delinquents Estates.

Mr. Lcchmere reports, from the Committee for Obstructions, the Opinion of that Committee touching Leaseholders and Copy-holders of the Estates exposed to Sale, by an Act, intituled, An Act for Sale of several Estates forfeited to the Commonwealth for Treason; viz.

"That all Copy-holders and Lease-holders of any the Manors, Lands, and Tenements, appointed to be sold by an Act of this present Parliament, intituled, An Act for the Sale of several Lands and Estates forfeited to the Commonwealth for Treason; making their several Estates, or Claims, to appear before the Surveyors appointed to survey the same; shall have their Estates, granted before the 20th of May 1642, preserved unto them; notwithstanding they make no Claim before the Committee of Parliament, in the said Act named.

Resolved, That it be referred to the Committee of Obstructions, to bring in an Act for preventing the Inconveniences of calling up Copy-holders and Lease-holders to make their Claim here before the Committee; and that they report the same To-morrow Morning, the first Business.

Claims on Public Faith.

Mr. James Challoner reports from the Committee of Indemnity;

Votes of the said Committee, in and concerning the Payment of the Monies lent upon the publick Faith; referred to their Consideration by Order of Parliament.

Resolved, That the publick Faith which this Committee intend to be satisfied at present, is, for what is due for Money, Plate, Horse Furniture, and Arms, voluntarily lent in the Year 1642, upon the Propositions of Parliament 1642.

Resolved, That the Persons to have Benefit of the former Vote shall be the original Creditors, their Executors, or Administrators; but not Assigns.

Resolved, That the aforesaid Persons be likewise such as have constantly adhered to the Parliament; and have taken the Engagement, being thereunto required by the Act for taking the same.

Resolved, That the aforesaid Persons be such as have not received Satisfaction for the same, either by Allowance thereof for their Fifth and Twentieth Part, or any otherwise.

Resolved, That the aforesaid Persons be such as have not any visible Estate or Income, of the Value of Forty Pounds per Ann. or upwards.

Resolved, That the Sum to be paid to any one Person shall not exceed the Sum of Ten Pounds Principal Money; for which he shall likewise receive Interest; and so proportionably for a lesser Sum.

Resolved, That the Treasurers pay, according to the former Qualifications in Proportion to the Certificates already returned from the several Committees of the Counties, in Pursuance of the Votes of Parliament.

Resolved, That no Persons within the City of London, late Lines of Communication, and Weekly Bills of Mortality, shall have Benefit of the former Vote.

Resolved, That it is the Opinion of this Committee, that the Ten thousand Pounds in the Hands of the Treasurers at Wars, be paid out by the said Treasurers at Wars to the Treasurers at Weavers-Hall; to be by them issued out and paid to the several Persons contained in the Lists returned by the several Counties, according to the Qualifications aforementioned: And that this Vote, together with the said Qualifications, be reported to the House.
