Prayers.

Ordered, That Mr. Edward Thomas, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Ordered, That Mr. Whitehead, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go to the Bathe, for the Recovery of his Health.

Ordered, That the Lord Grey, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Ordered, That Mr. Samuel Browne, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go into the Country, and to stay there a Month.

Ordered, That Colonel Thomas Hodges, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go into the Country.

The House, according to an Order Yesterday made, took into Consideration the Debate concerning the Report made, on Wednesday last, by Mr. Crew, from the Commissioners of Scotland, touching such Monies as shall be thought fit to be advanced to the Scotts, upon the March of their Army out of the Kingdom.

The Articles of the Treaty, upon the Assistance of our Brethren of Scotland, were read; and likewise the last Paper from the Commissioners of Scotland, of 19 Augusti 1646; and the Report then made by Mr. Crew.

Resolved, &c. That Two hundred thousand Pounds be provided for the Scotts Army, whereof the first Hundred thousand Pounds to be paid unto them upon the Marching of their Armies and Forces out of this Kingdom, at such Time and Place as hereafter shall be expressed.

Resolved, &c. That the Time, expressed in the former Order, shall be the Eighteenth Day of September next.

Resolved, &c. That it be referred to the Members of this House that are of the Committee of both Kingdoms, to confer with the Commissioners of Scotland concerning the Place for the Payment of the first Hundred thousand Pounds, according to the former Order.

Resolved, &c. That the second Hundred thousand Pounds shall be paid by Fifty thousand Pounds and Fifty thousand Pounds; the first Fifty thousand Pounds at the End of Three Months, accounting from the Eighteenth of September; and the second Fifty thousand Pounds at the End of Nine Months, accounting from the Eighteenth of September next.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of the North, and the Committee of the Army, joined to this Committee, as to this Business, Sir Wm. Armyn, Mr. Robert Goodwyn, Mr. Hodges, Mr. Purefoy, Mr. Salwey, Mr. Pury, Mr. Green, Mr. John Ashe, Mr. Dormer, Mr. Boughton, Mr. Gell, Sir Gilbert Gerard, Mr. Harvey, Mr. Lisle, Mr. Walker, Sir Antho. Irby, Mr. Baynton, Mr. Marten, or any Four of them; to prepare a general Estimate of the Accompts of the Scotts Army; and to consider of the Estimate sent in by the Scotts Commissioners, and of what shall be thought fit to be brought in, by way of Estimate, to balance that, or defalk from it, or surcharge upon it: And they are to meet To-morrow at Eight of Clock, in the Duchy-Chamber: And have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, Papers, Records, &c.: And are to report on Tuesday next.

Ordered, That Mr. Edward Stephens shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Ordered, That Mr. Horner shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Resolved, &c. That it be referred to the Committee at Goldsmiths-Hall, to consider how this Hundred thousand Pounds for the Scotts may be raised within the Time, and upon what Security; and to tender it to the House: And have Power to send to the Commissioners of the Customs, to the Merchants-Adventurers, East-India Company, Eastland Company, and such other Persons as they shall think fit; and to confer and treat with them upon the Advance of this Hundred thousand Pounds: And Mr. Prideaux, Mr. Harvey, Mr. Wilson, Alderman Atkin, Sir Robert Pye, Colonel Thompson, Mr. * Browne, Mr. Snelling, Alderman Pennington, Mr. Vassall, Mr. Ven, Mr. Pury, Mr. Leman, Mr. Green, Mr. Scawen, Mr. Edward Ashe, Mr. Knightly, Mr. Berrow, Mr. Corbett, are added to this Committee, as to this Business: And are to meet upon it To-morrow at Eight of Clock, and so from time to time: And are to report on Tuesday Morning next.

Resolved, That a Conference be desired with the Lords, upon Tuesday Morning next; and Reasons offered to them, to press them with the Necessity of the speedy passing the Ordinance for the Sale of Delinquents Estates.

Sir Arthur Hasilrig, Mr. Marten, Mr. Sam. Browne, Sir Henry Heyman, Mr. Gourdon, Mr. Lawrence, Sir John Evelyn, Sir Wm. Lewes, Mr. Fienis, Sir Henry Vane, Mr. Lisle, Mr. Bond, Mr. Prideaux, or any Four of them, are appointed to prepare Reasons to be offered unto the Lords at this Conference.

Sir Robert Pye is appointed to go the Lords on Tuesday next, to desire this Conference.

Ordered, That the Derbyshire Petition be read on Tuesday Morning next, the first Business.

Upon Mr. Challoner's Report, from the Committee to whom the Business concerning the Commitment of Sir Thomas Glemham was referred, upon Consideration of the Articles for Surrender of Oxon;

Resolved, &c. That Sir Thomas Glemham is comprised within the Articles for Surrender of the Garison of Oxford, concerning Freedom from Arrests.

Resolved, &c. That Sir Thomas Glemham be forthwith discharged of his Imprisonment: And that the Sheriffs of London and Middlesex, and the Secondaries, Clerks of the Papers, and Keepers of the Compters in Wood-street and in the Poultry, shall be saved harmless, and kept indemnified from any Action of Escape, or other Action, to be brought against them, or any of them, for or by reason of the Release or Discharge of the said Sir Thomas Glemham of and from his said Imprisonment.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do, on Tuesday Morning next, put the House in mind of the several late Mercies of God in Reducing of divers strong Castles and Garisons to the Obedience of the Parliament; to the end a Day of Publick Thanksgiving may be appointed for the same.

Ordered, That the Propositions, made by the Lord Broghall to the Committee for Irish Affairs, be reported on Tuesday Morning next.

Resolved, &c. That the House be adjourned until Tuesday Morning at Eight of the Clock. And
