Prayers.

Ordered, That the Committee of Goldsmiths-Hall do take care forthwith to provide and send the Fifteen thousand Pounds, ordered the Three-and-twentieth of April for One Month's Pay for the Scottish Army, unto the Commissioners with the Army before Newarke.

And, if the Treasurers Richard Waring and Michael Herring shall borrow the said Money, or any Part thereof, it is Ordered, That they shall repay the same, with Interest after Eight Pounds per Centum, unto the several Lenders thereof, for so long time as it shall be unpaid; being to issue out of the Four last Months Assessments made for that Purpose.

Resolved, &c. That the Sheriff of the County-Palatine of Chester be required, and hereby injoined, to proceed to the Election of a Knight of the Shire of the County-Palatine of Chester; notwithstanding there is no Chamberlain of Chester, to whom to direct, or from whom to receive the Writ; notwithstanding any Law or Statute to the contrary.

The humble Petition of Henry Herbert Esquire, a Member of this House, on the Behalf of his Father, and himself, was this Day read: And

It is Ordered, upon the Question, That, out of the Proceed of the Sale of Woods belonging to the Earl of Worcester, and of Mr. Hall of High-Meadowes within the County of Monmouth, the Sum of Three thousand Pounds be forthwith raised, advanced, and paid to the Petitioners, towards Satisfaction of their great Losses and Damages sustained by them from the King's Forces; provided, That no Timber be cut or felled.

And it is referred to the Committee of the said County of Monmouth, to take care, that this Order be forthwith put in due Execution; and the said Three thousand Pounds raised and paid accordingly: And that no Timber-Trees be cut or felled, or Waste or Spoil made thereof.

Ordered, That, out of the Fines or Compositions of or for the Estates of Robert Long, Edward Erneley, and Edward Yerbery, of the County of Wiltes, Esquires, the Sum of Five hundred Pounds be paid to Mr. Robert Jennor, One of the Members of this House, towards his Losses sustained by the Enemy in the said County.

Ordered, upon the Question, That the Monies and Allowances already ordered and appointed, and to be appointed and ordered, to be allowed to the several Churches and Chapels, by the Committee of plundered Ministers, according to the Power given to the said Committee, be paid, accordingly, by the respective Sequestrators, from time to time, till the Houses take other Order.

Ordered, &c. That the Report concerning the Election of the County of Buckingham be made on Monday next, the first Business.

Mr. Recorder, Mr. Rigby, Sir Peter Wentworth, Mr. Holles, Colonel Thompson, Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Scawen, Mr. Whittacre, Sir Arth. Haselrigg, Mr. Allen;

This Committee, or any Three of them, is appointed forthwith to examine the Information given concerning Words spoken at the Lady Gravenor's Chamber; and the Information in Mr. Corbett's Hands; in such manner as they shall think sit: And have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, &c.

Ordered, &c. That the Serjeant do bring to this Committee the Lady Gravenor, Wife to Sir Richard Gravenor, Eleanor Windell, Elizabeth Cotton, and Doctor Biron.

Ordered, &c. That the Scotts Papers, concerning the Propositions for Peace, be taken into Consideration on Monday Morning, the first Business, in the like manner as it was ordered for this Day.
