Smart's Business.

ORDERED, That the Committee appointed to consider of the Message sent from the Lords, con- cerning Mr. Smart's Business, be revived, to sit To-mor- row post meridiem, in the Duchy-court.

Bp. of Bath and Wells.

Mr. Bagshawe reports the Charge against the Bishop of Bath and Wells:

The Articles were all read.

Poll-money.

Sir Arthur Ingram has Leave to go into the Country; and is desired to use his best Endeavours for the Expe- diting of the Poll-money; and that he write to the Sheriffs of those Counties, that are appointed to pay in their Monies at Yorke, to quicken them in expediting of that Business; and that he certify unto this House any Stop or Obstruction in that Business, that he shall discover.

Leave of Absence.

Mr. Jepson has Leave to go into the Country.

Mr. John Alford has likewise Leave to go into the Country.

The Protestation.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the House doth conceive, that the Protestation made by them is fit to be taken by every Person, that is well affected, in Religion, and to the Good of the Commonwealth; and therefore doth declare, that what Person soever shall not take the Protestation, is unfit to bear Office in the Church or Commonwealth.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Knights, Citi- zens and Burgesses, * * of the Cinque Ports, respec- tively, shall forthwith send down to the several Places for which they serve Copies of this Vote of the House concerning the Protestation.

Resolved, &c. That these Votes shall be printed; and attested under the Clerk's Hand.

Impeachment of the Bishop.

Mr. Fynes, Mr. Glyn, Sir Tho. Barrington, Mr. Hollis, Mr. Cage, Mr. Whitlocke, Sir Edw. Hungerford, Serjeant Wilde, * Mountfort, Sir Arthur Ingram, Sir Arthur Haslerigge, * Owfeild, * Widdrington, Mr. Strode, Sir Robert Harley, Mr. Selden, Mr. Hill, Mr. Hampden, Sir Walter Erle, Sir John Colpepper, Mr. Maynard, Sir Sam. Rolle, Mr. Prideaux, Mr. Martin;

This Committee is to prepare an Impeachment against the Bishops, the Makers of the New Canons and Oath, upon the Votes that have passed both Houses concerning those Canons, and Oath: And are to meet this After- noon, at Two of Clock, in the Inner Court of Wards.

Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy.

Resolved, upon the Question, That Mr. Pelham, Mr. Reynolds, and Mr. Rigby, shall prepare a Bill, and pre- sent it to this House, that no Man, that will not take the Oaths of Allegiance or Supremacy, shall give a Vote in any Parliament in England, in Matter of Religion or Church Government.

Conference.

Lord Falkland brings Answer, that the Lords will give a Meeting presently, as is desired.

Prisoners discharged.

The humble Petition of James Greene and James Kitterminster, of the County of Glouc, Husbandman; who were formerly sent for, by order of this House, for their Contempt, in serving Mr. Stevens, a Member of this House, with a Process, out of the Court of the Marches of Wales; was this Day read: And the Parties called in; and, kneeling at the Bar, Mr. Speaker declared, that, upon their Submission, the House ordered, that they should be released from any further Restraint.

Poll-money.

That the Commissioners, or Treasurers, appointed to receive the Poll-money at London, shall be authorized to receive the Sum of Eleven hundred Pounds, or there- abouts, already collected in Stepney, Poplar, and other Places of the County of Middlesex.

That the Commissioners of the Lath of Stepney, near Rumney Marsh, shall direct the Levying and Collecting of the Monies, payable by the Act for the speedy Provi- sion of Monies, within Rumney Marsh; and do * Ac- counts, in as full Manner as any other Commissioners, for any other Division, may do.

That the Auditors of the same Divisions shall return the Names of all such Collectors as have not brought in the Monies upon the Four first Subsidies.

House to sit, &c.

That the House shall sit this Afternoon, at Three of Clock, and be resolved into a Committee, to proceed with the Bill concerning Episcopacy: And that the Committee for the Impeachment shall sit notwithstand- ing that the House sits.

Business concerning Jermyn, &c.

Ordered, That the Business concerning Mr. Jermyn, Mr. Peircy, &c. shall be taken into Consideration on Monday Morning next at Eight of Clock: And that Mr. Speaker shall put the House in mind of this Order.

Conference reported.

Sir John Colepepper reports the Conference with the Lords Yesterday:

"That the Earl of Bristoll told them, that the Lords had consented to all our Propositions Yesterday, concern- ing the Armies, and the Day for the Scotts to march; but said withal, Consideration must be had of the Treaty; which was in a good Forwardness: And therefore desired the Committee of Fifty-two might meet every Day with the Committee of the Lords, till it were finished. And he further acquainted us, that the Lord Mayor of London had been with them, to lend Forty thousand Pounds, for Disbanding of the Armies; and that it should be all paid in, this Night, to the Chamber of the City."

Queen of Bohemia's Children.

Ordered, That, on Tuesday Morning at Nine of Clock, Mr. Greene shall make Report concerning a Way of Supply of the Necessities of the Queen of Bohemia's Children: And Mr. Speaker is to put the House in mind of this Order.

Book of Rates.

That Mr. Greene shall make Report of the Book of Rates.

Abolishing Episcopacy.
