LIST OF MAPS AND PLANS

The maps were drawn by G. R. Versey of the Department of Geography, University College, London, from drafts prepared by K. J. Allison and J. M. Lee. The plan on p. 243 was drawn by M. Edwards. The maps are based upon the Ordnance Survey with the sanction of the Controller of H.M. Stationery Office, Crown Copyright reserved. The Bursar of Brasenose College, Oxford, kindly gave permission for the map of Burrough on the Hill to be drawn from an original in the possession of the college.
