PRAYERS.

The Protestation.

SIR Bevill Greenvile, Mr. Wm. Jesson, made the Protestation.

Auditors, &c. of Revenue.

Ordered, That the Auditors of his Majesty's Revenue, who were, by an Order Yesterday made, appointed to attend the House, shall attend the Committee for the King's Army: And the Petition of the Auditors Clerks is referred to the Consideration of that Committee; to consider of some Way of Recompence for their Pains, in such manner as they shall think fit.

Ashton's, &c. Petitions.

Ordered, That the Petitions of John Ashton, Henry Goodwyn, and others, of Hemble Hempsted, in Com' Herts', be referred to the Committee where Mr. Ellis has the Chair: And that the Proceedings, complained of in the said Petitions, may be stayed in the mean while.

Leave of Absence, &c.

Mr. Mallory has Leave to go into the Country: And is required, so soon as he comes into the Country, to send up his Son, to the Service of the House.

Dawes' Petition.

Ordered, That the Petition of Sir Thomas Dawes be referred unto the Committee for the Customers; to consider of, on Monday next in the Afternoon, what is fit to be done upon that Petition.

Leave of Absence.

Mr. Kirby has Leave to go into the Country.

Arrears due to Scotland.

Sir John Hotham acquaints the House, that the Scotts Commissioners will appoint some to join with the Servants of Sir Wm. Uvedale, to tell the Monies to be paid them for their Arrear.

Lady Lake's Deed.

Ordered, That the Deed, which, by Order of this House, is deposited with the Clerk of this House by the Lady Lake, shall not be disposed of to Sir Thomas Lake, or any other; nor removed out of the Custody of the said Officer, till particular Notice thereof be given to the said Lady Lake.

Loan from the City.

Ordered, That the Three thousand Pounds lent by the City, upon the publick Faith of this House, for the Furnishing of the Queen Mother of France in her Journey out of the Kingdom, shall be forthwith paid by the City, to any such Person as shall be nominated in Warrant under his Majesty's Hand, for the Use and Service aforesaid; and that an Acquittance, under that Person's Hand, shall be a sufficient Discharge to the City, for the Payment of the said Monies.

Officers of Star-chamber.

Ordered, That the Committee appointed for the Star-chamber shall have Power to receive all such Petitions, as shall be offered unto them, for any the late Officers of the Star-chamber; to consider what is fit for the Justice of this House to do, in way of Reparations to be made to those Officers, and by whom: And Mr. Pymm is added to this Committee.

Resolved, upon the Question, That this Committee shall not meet this Afternoon.

Tonage and Poundage.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Customers shall receive Information from the present Customers, what Monies have been collected upon the Two last Bills of Tonage and Poundage; and how, and to what Uses, they have been issued forth; and in what State those Accounts stand.

Pensions to Jermyn, &c.

Ordered, That the Committee concerning Pensions, informed to be allowed to Mr. Jermyn, Secretary Windebancke, & al. shall sit on Monday post meridiem, in the Treasury-chamber.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Edw. Leech and Dr. Bennett;

Disbanding the Army.

The Lords desire a Conference, by a Committee of both Houses, concerning the Scotts Commissioners Answer, touching the Disbanding the Armies, presently, in the Painted Chamber, if it may stand with the Conveniency of this House.

Zelwood Forest.

They likewise brought an Act for the Disafforesting of certain Lands of Sir James Thynne Knight, Parcel of the Forest of Zelwood, in the County of Somersett.

Disbanding the Army, &c.

Answer returned by the same Messengers; that this House has taken into Consideration their Lordships Message; and will give a present Meeting, as is desired.

Mr. Treasurer, Sir John Colpepper, Lord Falkland, Sir John Hotham, Mr. Strode, Sir Tho. Barrington, are appointed Reporters of this Conference.

Lord Falkland reports the Conference:

"The Earl of Bristoll said, that the English Commissioners had acquainted the Scotts Commissioners with the Propositions of this House, concerning the Disbanding of their Army on the Ninth of August next; and the Forbearance of the Fourscore thousand Pounds, till the Beginning of September next."

And the Scotts Answer to those Propositions was read.

Ordered, That the Earl of Warwicke shall forthwith pay to the Scotts Commissioners all the Arrears due for the Relief of the Northern Counties: And Sir William Uvedale is required to assist the said Commissioners, in the best way he can, for the Telling and Conducting the said Monies.

It was moved, that the Lord General might be writ unto, to appoint a good Convoy, for Conducting of it through the King's Army, to the River of Tees.

Abolishing Episcopacy.

According to an Order Yesterday made, the House was resolved into a Grand Committee.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Hide was called to the Chair.

And the Committee proceeded with the Bill concerning Episcopacy.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Poll-money.

That the Lord Mayor, and the rest of the Commissioners and Treasurers appointed to receive the Pollmoney at the Chamber of London, shall be authorized to receive the Monies from the County of Midd', payable by the Act for the speedy Provision of Monies, &c. from the Collectors of the said County: And that they shall give Acquittances to the said Collectors, as though the said Monies had been paid in by the Sheriff.
