THE Bill concerning Tanners,Curriers, Shoemakers, and others occupying Cutting of Leather: - Second Reading, and committed to the former Committees.

Mr. Winch bringeth in, from the Committee, the Bill against Recusants, &c. with Report of many Exceptions, which were referred, by the Committee, to the Consideration of the House.

Sir Edw. Hobby: - That his Majesty was ill of the Hurt of a Horse ; and that some Five or Six of the Members of this House might go to visit him. -

Answer to King'sLetter.

Sir Lewys Lewknor moveth, out of a Conference, touch-

ing the King's Letter for Subsidy, with an Ambassador, that an Answer might be framed to his Majesty's Letter.

The Bill for Increase of the Livings of Parsons and Vicars, having Cure of Souls: - The third Reading, and, upon the Question, rejected.

King's Answer to Message on his Illness.

Mr. Vice-chamberlain, being sent in the Morning, to know the King's Health, reporteth his Message, and the King's Hurt in the Instep of the Foot, by a Stroke of the Queen's Horse, during the Time of his Hunting; which was swolne, and he forced to keep his Bed. - How thankfully the King took it; and that he would ever have as great Care of any Sore or Grievance, that should come to this House, as they were of his.

Sir Tho. Ridgeway reviveth the Motion for Contribution; reciting what was the Reason of Rejection the last Day : Because they would not follow, or make any
