Moved, that sundry Provisoes, offered to the Committee in the Bill for Continuance of Statutes, might be considered against Monday, and then brought in.

Privilege- Abusing a Member.

Complaint made of one Tho. Rogers, a Currier, dwelling in Colman Street, for abusing Sir John Savill, in slanderous and unseemly Terms, upon his Proceeding as a Committee, in the Bill touching Tanners, Curriers, &c. And Ordered, That the Serjeant shall bring him to the Bar, to answer the Offence, on Monday next.

Petition to the King on Ecclesiastical Affairs.

This Day a Petition, formerly offered by the Committees for Religion, as fit to be presented to his Majesty, and then approved by the House, being for Dispensation with some godly Ministers in Matters indifferent, and of Ceremony, was returned by the Clerk, fair written, according to former Order, and again publickly read; whereupon the House entered into Consultation, what further Course should be taken with the Petition; and at last, after much Dispute, resolved upon Three Questions :

1. Who should prepare Access to the King ?

2. Who should deliver the Petition ?

3. What Persons or Number should attend the King upon the Delivery ?

For the first, that Mr. Vice-chamberlain, or Mr. Secretary Herbert should procure Access.

For the second, that Sir Francis Hastings should deliver the Petition.

For the third, that the Sub-committees in Matters of Religion should attend the King upon the Delivery.

Accountants.

Mr. Francis Moore bringeth in a new Bill for the Reviving of the Statute 13o Eliz. touching Accountants.

Gaol-money.

The Statute 14o Eliz. touching Gaol-money, thought fit to be placed in another Place in the Part of reviving; and Mr. Moore appointed to do it.
