John Walcott of Sherborne, co. Dorset, esq v John Parsons of the same, yeoman
April 1638 - February 1640
Abstract
The cause and result of Walcott's complaint against Parsons remain unknown as only the citation for Parsons to appear before the court on 6 April 1638 survives. Walcott's witnesses were examined during the winter of 1639 and Parsons was due to begin his defence in February 1640; but nothing further survives.

Addressed to constables, bailiffs, etc, for Parsons to appear at the court at Westminster 8 days after warning received.
Dated 6 April 1638.
Summary of proceedings
Dr Duck acted as counsel for Walcot and Dr Talbot for Parsons. On 20 October 1638 Dr Duck was to prove the libel and send it to the commissioners. On 4 February 1640Dr Duck petitioned that Walcott's witnesses be published and Dr Talbot was required to relate material for the defence.
