William Strachey of St Dunstan-in-the-West, London, gent v Gabriel Reeve of St Bride, London, draper
November - December 1637
Abstract
Strachey complained that Reeve had given him the lie many times and called him 'base fellowe'. Process was granted on 24 November 1637 and Strachey entered bond on 15 December; but no further proceedings survive.

3/29, Petition to Arundel
'Your petitioner is a gent. descended of an ancient family; and that lately hee hath beene greatly abused in words by one Gabriel Reeve of the parish of St Brydes London, draper, who gave your petitioner the lye many times and termeing him base fellowe.'
Petitioned that Reeve be brought to answer.
Duck informed Dethick that the case was fit for the court, 24 November 1637.
Summary of proceedings
Dr Duck acted as counsel for Strachey and on 15 December 1637, Strachey noted that his bond to prosecute the cause had been received.
