159. [f. 49] Jesus Anno 1546, the 17th day of January

Decreed and thereunto agreed all the parties that hereunto have affirmed the day and year above said, that if any man hereafter do die in this parish named Saint Andrew Hubbard lying near to Eastcheap, and willing himself of his executors for him or any other person or persons will after his death to be buried in the choir of the said church to pay it is determined [scored: that any such person and persons shall pay] for his knell of any of the bells the sum of 6s. 8d., and the clerk to have all such things as touching the bells as follows:
The first bell of fowar [?four] for pit and knell for a child – 8d.
For a houselled person of the same bell, pit and knell – 10d.
The second bell for pit, knell of any person – 14d.
The third bell for pit and knell of any person – 20d.
For solemn peal – 16d.
To the churchwardens for every knell with the great bell – 3s. 4d.
More every man that is buried in the choir must pay for the grave – 6s. 8d.
And to the clerk for the pit making all such persons must pay – 2s.
And also it is agreed the small bell to be of charity so rung for all impoverished without cost or any money.
In witness hereof every many that was present choosing for auditors by the whole parish have affirmed to their names the day and the year abovesaid; also it is consented of the parties choosing of the part of the parish, and with the clerk of the parish, the said clerk shall find all bell ropes and baldrics for all the bells saving for the great bell and the little bell.

160. [f. 49v] The 17th day of January 1546
It is agreed by the whole consent of all that hereunder have affirmed in the name of the whole parish, that the churchwardens of the parish shall pay or deliver unto the wardens of the brotherhood of the Trinity – 3s. 4d. every quarter of the year.
And also of charity the said parish is moved to give unto Robert Lynsey – 40s. by the year of the said parish so long as they shall think he does his diligence in service in needful things and business in the church, always provided the said parish to be at the liberty to withdraw it, and to take it from him, when and at any time that they shall see cause with or wherefore.
