Kilmonseg’. Two parts of 1a. land Cornish, held of William de Botereaus by knight’s service; and a third part of 1a. jointly held by the said Walter and Iseult his wife of the said William.
He died on Friday before All Saints, 1 Edw. II. His daughters, Margery aged 9, and Eleanor aged 6, are his next heirs.

His daughters, Mary aged 18, Katherine aged 14, and Elizabeth aged 12 and more, are his next heirs.

Karkil. The hamlet (extent given), held of the king in chief as of his castle of Tremeton, by service of 6 knights’ fees, and guarding six crenels (kernell’) in the said castle, at his own charge for forty days whenever war shall happen, and doing suit of court there.
Bodbran. A messuage, 30a. arable, 7a. pasture, a water mill, 4s. rent of free tenants, 48s. rent of nine conventionary tenants, &c. held of Baldwin le Flemeng’ in socage.
Trewalla. A messuage, 40a. arable, 5a. pasture, a water-mill, 2s. from free tenants, 29s. 6d. from seven conventionary tenants, &c. held of Thomas de la Hyde by knight’s service, and doing suit at his court of Trelowyan.
By a fine levied in the king’s court between Robert de Keverel and the said William, the lands at Bodbran and Trewalla were held by the said William for life, with remainder to his son Geoffrey and Elizabeth his wife and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to the right heirs of the said William.

Badburham. 40a. land held of William Barbedor by service of 1/4 knight’s fee, 32d. yearly rent, and 2lb. pepper.
Sauston. A messuage called Hakedesgore, held of the prior of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem in England in exchange for 3a. granted to the priors by his ancestors, service unknown.
Schepereth. 30a. land held of John Frevyle by scutage; and 15a. land held of William de la Hay by service of 2s. 6d. yearly. And the said William and Margery his wife were jointly enfeoffed of the said tenements in Schepereth, to them, their heirs and assigns, so that the right thereof remains to the said Margery.
Hyselham and Frakenham. A messuage held of the bishop of Rochester and William Bernard, viz. of the bishop by service of 6s., and of the said William by service of 1d. yearly; and 100a. land by the great hundred, and 4a. meadow, held of William Bernard by service of 1d. yearly.
Hyselham. 10s. rent to be received from divers tenants, tenure unspecified.

Westgraftone. A messuage and 4 virgates land, held of the king in chief by service of 10s. yearly, payable at the castle of Merleberge, and keeping the king’s grove called Suthgrave in the forest of Savernak.
The same are in the king’s hand by reason of the minority of the said Peter, and for no other cause.

William de Lyllebon, knight, aged 50, says that the said Peter was 22 on the feast of St. Lawrence last, for he was born at Forstebury on that feast 14 Edw. I. and baptized in the church of St. Michael at Schaldeborne on the morrow, and this he knows because on that feast the said John came to Middletone and asked him to be godfather to the said Peter, which he declined on account of the solemnization on the morrow of the nuptials between his mother and Stephen de Britmerestone (?) at Middletone, and the said John asked him to give testimony of the date of birth of the said heir, and he caused it to be written on the wall of his hall.
John le Dun, knight, aged 57, Nicholas de la Mare, aged 60, William le Chamberleyn, aged 46, Ada (sic) de Temesbury, aged 60, John Homedieu, aged 67, William Waryn, aged 40, Peter Olyver, aged 50, William Wolton, aged 48, John Frankelayn, aged 60, Stephen de Perham, aged 46, and John Grygge, aged 60, say the same, and know it because the said John a month after the said feast held a feast at Westeforstebury for the churching of the mother of the heir, at which they were all present, and the said John asked them to give testimony of the day and year of the birth of the said heir.
