Entry B appeared, described as a Frenchman & MD Leyden, 'as appeared from a diploma; but he declared that he was previously in that degree at Montpelier; by putting together these statements from him, either untruth or perjury was proved.' He asked 'with much persistence' for a licence, but Coll. wd not grant one until his qualifications were sorted out.
