Entry R, of St Botolph parish, was accused by William Clarke of Whitechapel of bad practice on C's wife. R had claimed to have cured 40 people of tympany (e.g. Ingram's wife), and had charged £7 and £4 on completion. R said he was a physician and had been a student of Trinity College, Cantab, for a year or two, and had been instructed 'by his father meaninge Mr Vintner ye Emperick' (qv).
