Entry P, surgeon, of Kent, was charged with illicit practice. He denied it. In his book of 1579 he had described a pill (*), and had given it to Mr Laborn the surgeon. He was accused of having often given it himself. Evidence was taken wch showed that people had been killed by that pill. P could not clear himslelf of having given this pill and other medicines.
