Entry M, of the Sign of the Ball, was accused by Dr Spicer. He confessed to blooding Mr Hog's maid of Bethnall Green, and to giving Hog 3 gr. Mercurius vitae in conserve of roses (1626), which vomited and purged. It was made by Mr. Smith, Old Bailey. M made many cordials, which kept him (?Hog) alive 3 days after Spicer's prognosis of death. He was of Kings College till BA but did only 4 months.
