HAWKESBURY
(21 miles S.W. of Cirencester)
A univallate hill-fort is reputed to exist on Hawkesbury Knoll (ST 768872), ¼ mile N. of the village, but no earthworks of Iron Age type are identifiable (see p. xxxiii).
