Entry 'Mrs Withins complained of one Adams a chirurgian neer three Cranes. Adams sayd, ye doctors could not but he would helpe her: and his mayde magnifyed her Master. He gave her a potion at night: next day pills yt made her spitt exceedingly, thro one day, one ye next: her mouthe extremely sore. She was Scorbutica, and had swolne legs. He had 40s. of her, and should have 40s. more.'
