The Answer of Mrs. Isobel Dickson or Melrose, Widow of the deceased James Roughead, now Spouse of William Melrose, residing in Woodmarket Street of Kelso, with his Consent, and the said William Melrose for his Interest, to the Petition of Appeal of James Hunter, Writer in Dunse, only surviving Trustee and Executor of the deceased James Roughead, Tenant in Jerdanfield, was this Day brought in.

After hearing Counsel fully in the Cause wherein Murdo Mackenzie Esquire is Appellant, and Alexander Macartney Esquire is Respondent:

Etzerodt's Naturalization Bill, Certificate produced:
A Certificate from The Right Honorable Viscount Melbourne, One of His Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State, "That Christian Etzerodt, Son of Friedrick Daniel Etzerodt by his Wife, (both deceased,) born at Heinde, near Hildesheim, in Germany, had produced to him satisfactory Proof that he is a Person well affected to His Majesty's Royal Person and Government, and of orderly Life and Conduct," was produced and read, pursuant to the Standing Order.
