CITY OF LONDON ARMORIAL.
The family arms are those that occur in the Inventory, dating from before the year 1550. The arms of a number of corporate bodies connected with the City have been added for convenience of reference.
Acton—quarterly fesswise indented argent and gules a bend azure with three crosslets fitchy or thereon in chief a ring counter coloured.
Apothecaries' Company—azure a figure of Apollo proper with his head radiant holding in his left hand a bow and in his right hand an arrow or treading on a serpent argent.
Armourers' and Braziers' Company—argent a cheveron sable with a gauntlet argent between two pairs of crossed swords thereon and a chief sable charged with a shield of St. George between two helmets proper garnished or, for the Amourers' Company, impaling azure a cheveron or between two ewers in chief and a three-legged pot with two handles i i base or with three roses gules seeded and barbed vert on the cheveron, for the Braziers' Company.
