Roll of the bishop of Aberdeen:—
Gilbert, bishop of Aberdeen. For faculty to reserve twelve benefices in his city or diocese, to be given to twelve fit persons chosen by him, even if each of the said persons has two or three other benefices.

To Nicholas de Grenlaw, bachelor of canon law, M.A. a canonry of Aberdeen, with reservation of a prebend, notwithstanding that he has a canonry and the deanery of Glasgow.
To William de Calabre, of noble origin, a canonry of Moray, with reservation of a prebend, notwithstanding that he has a canonry and prebend of Aberdeen.
To John de Spyny, of the diocese of Moray, student in arts at Paris, a canonry of Dunkeld, with reservation of a prebend, notwithstanding that he has the like in Caithness.
To John Barber, student in arts at Paris, a canonry of Aberdeen, with reservation of a prebend, notwithstanding that he has the perpetual vicarage of Tarves, in the same diocese.
To William Wys, of the diocese of Moray, a benefice in the gift of the abbot and convent of Arbroath, notwithstanding that he has a chaplaincy in the church of Aberdeen, which he is ready to resign.
To William Rous, of the diocese of Aberdeen, a benefice in the gift of the abbot and convent of Lindores.
To Thomas de Tiningham, a canonry of Moray, with expectation of a prebend, notwithstanding that he has the church of Logy, in the diocese of Aberdeen, and a canonry and prebend of the same.
To David Rechman, chaplain of the bishop of Aberdeen, a benefice in the gift of the abbot and convent of Lindores.
The pope is prayed to grant the above under date of 15 Kal. Nov.
For William de Spyny, canon of Aberdeen, doctor of canon law, who came to the Roman court and was placed in the roll of the pope's coronation for a canonry of Brechin with expectation of a prebend, but by reason of the multitude of those who came before him has taken nothing, that the grant may be expedited under date of the doctors in the roll of the university of Avignon.
For John de Spyny, of the diocese of Moray, student in arts in Paris, that the papal grants made to him of canonries of Caithness and Dunkeld may be expedited, notwithstanding the rule touching non-graduates and absent persons, inasmuch as he has not enough to live on at the university, and in all Scotland there is no collegiate church of which the prebends are in the gift of the pope.
