On behalf of John Stalpy, M.A. and B.C.L. who has studied canon law for three years at Paris, on whose behalf others have written, for a canonry of Aberdeen, with expectation of a prebend, notwithstanding that he has a canonry and prebend of Dunkeld, and the church of Fetherkern, and that the said king has nominated him in virtue of a papal grant to a canonry of Brechin, with expectation of a prebend, of which he has not yet got possession, and for dispensation to hold an additional benefice.

William Forester, who for two years has studied canon law at Paris, for whom the marshal of Scotland has petitioned. For a benefice in the gift of the bishop, prior, and chapter of St. Andrews, value 80 marks, notwithstanding that he has the archdeaconry of Caithness, which he is ready to resign, and the canonry and prebend of Duffous in Moray, having been presented by the lay patron but not yet admitted, as to which he is about to begin a suit in the papal palace.
