The pope, motu proprio, makes provision to Simon de Ketenis, M.A. licentiate in canon and civil law, lately elected to the church of Aberdeen, of the deanery of the same, and of the canonry and prebend of Glasgow, void by the consecration of Adam de Tiningham, bishop of Aberdeen, even if the said canonry and prebend are void by the resignation of the cardinal of Amiens, or in any other way, and dispenses the said Simon so that he may hold also the church of Eroll, in the diocese of St. Andrews, but he is to resign the canonry and prebend of Aberdeen, which he already has.

Whereas Gregory XI. made a grant to Finlay de K. of the diocese of St. Andrews, of a benefice in the gift of the bishop of the same, and Finlay afterwards begged from the said pope the perpetual vicarage of Mernes, in the diocese of Glasgow, offering to resign the first grant, and then by virtue of it accepted the church of Feschurescath, in the diocese of St. Andrews, void by the death of Gilbert Armstrong, which was confirmed by the apostolic see; but as there is a doubt whether by his offer of resignation the grant did not expire, and so he may be molested touching the said church, which he has held for four years, and whose value is 20 marks, he prays for confirmation of the same.
