Roll of Adam [de Tiningham], dean of Aberdeen:—
On behalf of his kinsman, John Marascall, who, while under age, executed the office of papal proctor in Scotland, for a benefice in the gift of the bishop of St. Andrews, value 40 marks, notwithstanding that he has the church of Daqwendouyr, in the diocese of Aberdeen, which he is ready to resign, and that Gregory XI. made provision to him of the canonry and prebend of Glasgow minor in Glasgow, of which he has not yet got possession.
Ibid.
On behalf of his kinsman, Thomas de Loqworvardi, priest, brother of William, the pope's servant (servuli) for a benefice in the gift of the bishop of St. Andrews, notwithstanding that Gregory XI. made provision to him of the perpetual vicarage of Logy, in the diocese of Dunblane, which he is ready to resign.
Ibid.
