Entry Dr Fludd and Dr Spicer were to send a letter to Lord Chamberlain to the Queen, complaining of V and of Thomas TURNER (754, qv). It was reported that V had practised on Lady Bennett and on Mr Attorney's man.

Entry V, 'advanced in years', could not deny practice. He claimed to be MD Cantab, then recanted and accused Dr Wright of speaking against great men. He admitted applying a plaster of burgundy pitch benzoin and storax to the spleen. A letter was received from Kirk of the bedchamber on his behalf.
