Entry George Butler (qv) confessed that he had had medicines made by John Thomas in Woodstreet, and also by Mr. Whetlye. Between them the two apothecaries had had £100 p.a. from him for medicines.

Entry T, apothecary, was accused of siding with BUTLER (135, qv), and denied it. Dr Gulson accused him of instructing B and he denied that. However, he admitted making up B's physic, and said that Mr HINSON (399, qv) and the successors of Mr WHETLYE (799, qv) also did this.
