Entry Mr. WHETLYE, apothecary, was accused of supplying irregulars such as SAVERYE. It was said that his servant, HIDE, took Saverye's bills to avoid Georg Haughton's shop; but Whetlye agreed to forbid Hide to do this. W could not read the bill in question, so W and H 'must comme yis day sevenight to discipher his characters.'

Entry Hide, WHETLYE's servant of no university, but literate, was asked about W's dealings with SAVERY 654. He said that one Wilkinson by the stocks made SAVERY's medicines. 'He sayeth he sends for drugs and maketh the medecyne himself. He only invented this course, because HANTON did vse to intercept his bills which were sent to Mr WHETLYE.'
