Richard Vincent of Marrick, co. York, esq v Michael Yeoman of the city of York, yeoman

Abstract
Vincent complained that Yeoman, a shoemaker, had said to him 'thou art a base fellowe, thou art an idle fellowe', in the presence of many persons. Process was granted on 27 May and Vincent entered bond on 29 May; but no further proceedings survive.

'Michael Yeoman of the cittie of York, shoemaker, in publique and disgracefull manner before many persons without any provocation, did revile the petitioner saying unto him, Thou art a base fellowe, thou art an idle fellowe, with other reproachfull language, whereby the petitioner greatlie suffers in his reputation (as by sufficient testimony will appeare to your Lordship).'
Petitioned that Yeoman be brought to answer.
Maltravers granted process on 27 May 1639.
