53 BLOUNT V ANYAN

Maurice Blount of St Bride, London, gent v Richard Anyan

February 1638

Abstract

Proceedings survive from February 1638, but they do not show either the cause or result of the complaint by Blount, a clothier, against Anyan.

Summary of proceedings

Dr Duck acted as counsel, and on 3 February 1638 Anyan was required to appear in response to a summons.

Notes

Maurice Blount, clothworker, was entered under Faringdon without in the 1634 Visitation of London as the son of Maurice Blount of London, mercer, freeman of the clothworkers, and Dorothy, daughter of James Cleypole of Northborough, co. Northampton (now co. Cambridge). He married Jane, daughter of John Bridge of co. Essex.
