Abstract

Only the plaintiff's bond survives for this cause, butproceedings were recorded on 28 November 1637. [See cause 47 for a later cause involving Bisley].

Bound to appear 'in the Court in the painted Chamber within the Pallace of Westminster'.

Signed by Alexander Bisley.

Sealed, subscribed and delivered in the presence of Humphrey Terrick.

Summary of proceedings

The cause appeared before Lord Maltravers, the earl of Bath and Sir Henry Marten on 28 November 1637.

Notes

Alexander Bisley of Abingdon appeared in the 1665 Visitation of Berkshire as aged 62, and married to the daughter of Henry Machin of Crickley, co. Gloucester.
