William Lloyd of 'Pantkillgain', co. Carmarthen, gent v Jenkin Thomas ap Rudy of Llandyfriog, co. Cardigan, gent

October 1637 - January 1638

Abstract

Lloyd complained against Thomas for having given him scandalous words provocative of a duel. Thomas was cited to appear on 31 October 1637and summoned in accordance with his bond on 27 January 1638; but no further proceedings survive.

Sealed, subscribed and delivered in the presence of Humphrey Terrick.

Summary of proceedings

Dr Duck and Dr Talbot acted as counsel. This case appeared before Lord Maltravers and the earl of Bath on 31 October 1637, and Jenkin Thomas was required to appear in accordance with his bond on 27 January 1638.
