Walter Hastings of Braunston may have been Walter Hastings, son of Edward Hastings and Barbara, daughter of William Devereux. This man was a distant cousin of Henry Hastings, earl of Huntingdon. William Poulton did not appear in the 1619 Visitation, but he was admitted to Lincoln's Inn on 1 October 1628 as the son and heir of Francis Poulton of Twickenham, co. Middlesex, esq.
