The Earl of Northumb. reported to this House, a Paper from the Scotts Commissioners, concerning the Wants of the Scotts Army.

And It is Ordered, That it be communicated to the House of Commons. (Here enter it.)

Message to the H. C. with it;

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Dr. Aylett and Dr. Heath:

To communicate the Scottch Paper to them.

about the Peers Creation-money;

2. To put them in Mind of the Business of the Creation-money to the Peers.

and about Mr. Baldwin being Gentleman Porter of The Tower.

3. To recommend the Petition of John Baldwin to them, concerning his contracting with the Gentleman Porter of The Tower, for his Place; and to desire their Concurrence in the Ordinance for his settling in that Place.

Message from the H. C. for a Conference about the Instructions, &c. for the Committees going to Scotland.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Rob't Harley Knight:

To desire a Conference, so soon as it may stand with their Lordships Convenience, concerning an Ordinance, and Instructions to be given to a Committee that are (fn. 1) to reside in the Scotch Army, with Reference to the Persons.

The Answer returned was:

Answer.

That their Lordships will give a present Conference, in the Painted Chamber, as is desired.

Lord Dacres, Leave to be absent.

Ordered, That the Lord Dacres hath Leave to go into Westmerland and Cumberland, to settle his Affairs there.

Message from the H. C. about the Instructions for the Commissioners going to Scotland.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Rob't Harley Knight:

To desire that the Committee of Lords may meet the Committee of their House this Afternoon, to perfect the Instructions to be given to the Commissioners that are to go into Scotland.

The Answer returned was:

Answer.

That the Committee of Lords shall meet this Afternoon, as is desired, at Three of the Clock.

Temple released.

Upon reading the Petition of Purbeck Temple; humbly submitting himself to this House, being sorrowful for his Error and Crime; praying for the Pardon, Mercy, and Forgiveness of this Honourable House:"

It is Ordered, That he be released from his present Restraint.

Answer from the H. C.

Doctor Aylett and Doctor Heath return with this Answer from the House of Commons:

That they will send an Answer by Messengers of their own to the last Message.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference; which being ended, the House was resumed.

And the Report of this Conference is to be made To-morrow Morning.

Paper from the Scots Commissioners, concerning the Wants of their Army.

"We are desired to represent from the Scottish Army, how much they are discouraged in all their Undertakings, for Want of Victualls to their Infantry, whereof they cannot get soe much as Two Dayes Provisions together at One Tyme; but are forced to spend much of their Tyme in procuring a small Quantity of Victuall; and since now it will be necessary that the Infantry continue together encamped in One Place, and to the Intent they may not be forced to stragle in the Country, whereby there is Occasion given to the comon Souldier to comitt Disorders, we desire that Power be granted to the Comittee that is to reside with that Army, to cause furnish to the Infantry Two Hundred Pounds Sterling a Day, in Mony and Provisions, as they upon the Place shall finde Cause; whereby many Inconveniencies and Disorders will be prevented, and the Infantry provided for in a reguler and orderly Way.
