Directory for Worship to be printed.
It was reported, "That the Scotts Commissioners of the Assembly for the Church of Scotland desired it might be made known to this House, that the Directory for the Worship of God is passed in the Assembly and Parliament of the Kingdom of Scotland unanimously, without any Alteration; and desired it might be referred to the Assembly of Divines, to make a Title to it; and that it might be printed."
Hereupon it is Ordered, That it is hereby referred to the Assembly of Divines, to make a Title to the Directory; and that it be printed by the Assembly.
Thanks to the Preachers at the Fast.
Ordered, That Mr. Perne and Mr. Ash shall have Thanks given them, from this House, for their Pains taken in preaching at the Abbey Church Yesterday, at the Fast; and are desired to print their Sermons.
Ordered, That Mr. Marshall and Mr. Cheynell are hereby appointed to preach before the Lords in Parliament, at the Abbey Church in Westm. at the next Monthly Fast.
Justice Bacon, Leave to be absent.
Ordered, That Mr. Justice Bacon hath Leave to go to his House in Norwich, and be absent till Easter next.
Ordinance to compel Persons to find Arms, raise Horse, &c.
Next, an Ordinance, That the Committee for the Militia of London shall have Power to impose upon Persons to find Arms, and to search for Papists and suspicious Persons, and to disarm them, and to raise Horse, was read Twice, and committed to these Lords following:

Ordinance for Martial Law at Sea.
The Lord Admiral reported, "That the Committee have considered of the Ordinance for Martial Law at Sea; and they think it fit to pass as it is, without any Alterations;" which was read the Third Time, and Agreed to.
Ordinance to compel Persons to find Arms, &c.
The Lord Admiral reported from the Committee, the Ordinance to give Power to the Militia of London to search for Papists, &c. as fit to pass, with a few Alterations; and this House Agreed to the said Ordinance, with the Alterations.
Ordinance to impress Soldiers for Sir Tho. Fairfax's Army.
Next, was reported from the Committee the Ordinance for impressing of Soldiers, for recruiting the Army under Command of Sir Thomas Fairefaix, as fit to pass, with some Alterations and Additions; which being read, the said Ordinance was Agreed to, with the said Alterations.
Message to the H. C. with these Ordinances.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Page and Dr. Heath;
To desire their Concurrence in these Particulars:
1. An Ordinance and Articles concerning Martial Law, for the Government of the Navy.
2. To desire their Concurrence in the Alterations in the Ordinance concerning pressing of Soldiers, for the Army of Sir Tho. Fairefaix.
3. To desire Concurrence in the Alterations concerning the Ordinance for the Militia of London to search for Papists, &c. in London.
Adjourn.
