Answer from the H.C.

Mr. Serjeant Fynch and Mr. Page return with this Answer from the House of Commons:

That concerning the Business of the Treaty, and the Business concerning the Earl of Denbigh, they will send an Answer by Messengers of their own; and touching the Proviso in (fn. 1) the Ordinance concerning the Arrears of the Weekly Assessments, they agree to the same.

And concerning the referring the Petition of the Lady Willmott to the Committee of Lords and Commons for Sequestrations, they agree thereto.

Directory for Public Worship.

Next, the House was adjourned into a Committee during Pleasure, to take into Consideration the Directory.

And the House was resumed.

And it is Ordered, That it shall be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning.

Message to the H.C. for Committees to meet, and draw up a Letter to the Parliament of Scotland, to be sent by their Commissioners going down.

It was moved, "That there being now some of the Commissioners of Scotland (fn. 2) going to the Parliament of Scotland, that a Letter may be written from both Houses to the Parliament there, for Continuance (fn. 1) of a good Correspondency of the Parliaments of both Kingdoms, and giving a good Testimony of the fair Carriage of their Commissioners here."

Hereupon these Lords following are appointed to meet To-morrow in the Afternoon, at Three a Clock, to draw up a Letter to this Effect; and a Message is to be sent to the House of Commons, to desire them to join herein, and to name a proportionable Number.

And accordingly a Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Dr. Heath and Mr. Page.

Adjourn.

House adjourned till 9a cras.
