Remarks. — From the, Year 1800 to 1806, when Bread exceeded 9¾d. the Quartern Loaf, the Difference was allowed according to the Assize. From the Year 1806 to 1815, the Contractor was allowed the additional Duty on Salt.
Note. — To the Year,1824 the Allowance to-each: Pensioner was as follows; viz. 18 oz. of Beef or Mutton Five Days in the Week; -¼ lb. of Cheese every Day, and on Wednesdays and Fridays an extra ¼lb.; and 2 oz. of Butter, and a Loaf of Bread, daily, weighing 1 lb. The present Allowance is 13 oz. of Beef or Mutton, lb. of Cheese, and 1 Loaf of Bread weighing 1 lb., every Day, and 2 oz. of Butter per Week.
