Calcraft's Divorce Bill.

The Order of the Day being read for the Second Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act to dissolve the Marriage of Granby Hales Calcraft Esquire with Sarah Emma otherwise Emma his now Wife, and to enable him to marry again; and for other Purposes therein mentioned;" and for hearing Counsel for and against the same; and for the Lords to be summoned;

Counsel were accordingly called in:

And Mr. Adam appearing as Counsel in Support of the Bill; and Mr. Jervis appearing as Counsel for Mrs. Calcraft;

Mr. Adam was heard to open the Allegations of the Bill.

Then Edward Walker was called in; and having been sworn, was examined as follows:

"Did you at any Time serve Mrs. Calcraft with an examined Copy of the Order of this House for the Second Reading of this Bill?"

"At Stapleford Place, Lord Harborough's Residence."

"Did you see Lord Harborough upon this Occasion?"

"Did he introduce you to Mrs. Calcraft?"

"Granby Calcraft of the Parish of St. George, Hanover Square, Bachelor, and Emma Love of this Parish, Spinster, were married in this Church by Licence, with Consent of this 10th Day of November in the Year 1828, by me, I. Brackenbury, Curate.

"No, it is not; it is my Brother's Handwriting."

"Does he officiate for you?"

"He does; he did at that Time."

"She had not lived there above Three Weeks or a Month."

"Do you remember the Event of her Marriage?"

"Yes."

"I do not remember the Day of the Month."

"Was it the 28th of November 1828?"

"To the best of my Recollection."

"Was it in the Winter Time of the Year, in the Month of November?"

"I think it was."

"Who was present at the Marriage besides yourself?"

"How came you to attend her upon the Marriage?"

"By her Orders."

"When did she give you those Orders?"

"She said I was to call her early in the Morning."

"Yes; she said she was to be married to Mr. Calcraft."

"Had Captain Calcraft been very much in the habit of visiting at Mrs. Love's before that?"

"With Miss Love, but not with Mrs. Love."

"After the Marriage was over, did Captain Calcraft accompany Mrs. Calcraft Home?"

"Did he see her afterwards in the Course of that Day?"

"Yes; a short Time afterwards."

"Do you know why he did not accompany her Home?"

"Because he was going out of Town, I believe."

"Did Miss Love say any thing about whether Mrs. Love knew of the Marriage?"

"She said that she did not know of it."

"Did she say any thing about whether Captain Calcraft's Family knew of the Marriage?"

"No, she did not."

"Do you know whether Captain Calcraft left Town that Day?"

"Yes, he did."

"After that Time was Captain Calcraft in the habit of visiting Miss Love at her Mother's House?"

"Yes; he left Town, and came back in about Five or Six Weeks, I think."

"Did he then visit Mrs. Calcraft?"

"Yes; during the Time he was in Town."

"Do you happen to know that whenever he came to Town, he was in the habit of visiting Mrs. Calcraft?"

"Yes."

"Was he in the habit of staying very late at Night?"

"Yes."

"After Mrs. Love had retired to Bed?"

"Yes."

"Did that happen frequently?"

"Yes; very often."

"Do you remember Mrs. and Miss Love going to Bristol?"

"Yes."

"Did Miss Love's Engagements at Drury Lane continue from the Time of the Marriage 'till she went to Bristol?"

"Yes."

"Did you accompany her to Bristol?"

"Yes."

"Was that upon a Theatrical Engagement?"

"Yes."

"Did her Mother accompany her?"

"Yes."

"Did her Mother always accompany her to Drury Lane Theatre?"

"Not always. Sometimes I did.

"Did Miss Love ever go to Drury Lane Theatre alone?"

"Not at Night."

"In the Day-time did she?"

"Yes."

"Did Captain Calcraft go to Bristol with Mrs. Love and Miss Love?"

"No."

"Did he join them there?"

"Yes."

"Did he continue to live with them while they were at Bristol?"

"No; he lodged at the Hotel."

"Were you in the habit of seeing him at Bristol in the same way as in London?"

"Do you know whether Captain Calcraft returned to London with them, or went back to his Regiment?"

"Do you remember the Drury Lane Season closing in 1829?"

"Upon the Close of the Season, did she go to Nottingham upon an Engagement?"

"Her Mother and I did."

"Do you remember, whether at the Time that Mr. Calcraft first became acquainted with Mrs. and Miss Love, Lord Harborough's Visits had ceased?"

"They had, for some Time."

"How long had Lord Harborough discontinued his Visits to Mrs. and Miss Love before Captain Calcraft made their Acquaintance?"

"More than Twelve Months."

"Do you happen to know from Miss Love, whether Captain Calcraft had been Abroad 'till about that Time?"

"Yes."

"Did you ever hear from Miss Love at what Time Captain Calcraft had returned from Abroad?"

"No, I never did."

"You saw Lord Harborough at Nottingham?"

"Yes, I did."

(By a Lord.) "Do you mean that Lord Harborough gave over visiting Miss Love more than Twelve Months before the Marriage?"

"Yes."

"How long before Captain Calcraft became acquainted with her?"

"Not a great while before he first became acquainted with her."

"Did the Captain become acquainted with her very soon after Lord Harborough gave over visiting?"

"Yes."

"Did the Captain ever see Lord Harborough there?"

"After his Marriage?"

(By Counsel.) "You say you arrived at Nottingham on the Tuesday; was it the same Day, or the next, you saw Lord Harborough at Nottingham?"

"Upon the Thursday."

"Was Miss Love's Appearance at the Nottingham Theatre advertized in the Play Bills of the Town, and in the Newspapers?"

"I believe it was."

"She went upon an Engagement?"

"Yes, she did."

"Upon the Thursday, where did you see Lord Harborough?"

"At the Black's Head."

"In whose Room?"

"In Mrs. Love's Room."

"Did he dine with them that Day?"

"I do not think he did that Day."

"Upon the Friday?"

"Yes."

"Where?"

"At the Black's Head."

"Did you see him upon the Saturday?"

"Yes, I did."

"Upon any Day did you recollect Miss Love leaving Nottingham?"

"Yes."

"What Day was it?"

"Upon the Saturday Evening."

"Whom did she leave Nottingham with?"

"Lord Harborough."

"Did Miss Love say any thing to you previously to her leaving Nottingham with Lord Harborough?"

"Nothing more than that I was to pack her Clothes up in a Trunk."

"I did."

"What became of the Trunk?"

"His Servant took it from me."

"Have you ever seen Miss Love since?"

"Never."

"Are you in Mrs. Love's Service now?"

"Did you return to Town after that with Mrs. Love?"

"You say that after the Marriage, Captain Calcraft saw his Wife; were you present?"

"Yes."

"Were you present the whole Time?"

"No."

"Was it in the Day or in the Evening that he had the Interview?"

"In the Morning."

"During how long did that Interview last?"

"About Half an Hour, or Three Quarters of an Hour."

"Was Mrs. Love present at that Time?"

"No; she was not up."

"You say that Lord Harborough visited there just before Captain Calcraft became acquainted with Miss Love; was he ever at Mrs. Love's while Captain Calcraft was there?"

"After the Marriage?"

"Before the Marriage?"

"No."

"You say he did after the Marriage; was it before they went to Nottingham?"

"Yes."

"Was he there repeatedly?"

"Not more than Twice, I think."

"Was Captain Calcraft present at that Time?"

"Yes; he was in the House Twice."

"Was Mrs. Love present?"

"No, she was not."

"Was Captain Calcraft at Nottingham when Lord Harborough came to see Mrs. Love?"

"No."

"Did he not arrive before the Saturday on which she eloped?"

"No."

(By a Lord.) "On what Days did Lord Harborough and Captain Calcraft meet after the Marriage?"

"I do not know."

(By Counsel.) "Was it long after?"

"Not long after."

"Where was it?"

"In Crescent Place."

"At Mrs. Love's House?"

"Yes."

"Were those the only Two Occasions on which he visited Mrs. Calcraft after her Marriage?"

"Yes; I believe they were, to my Knowledge."

"You say that Captain Calcraft was not at Nottingham before Mrs. Calcraft eloped with Lord Harborough; when did he come?"

"He was not at Nottingham at all."

"You have not seen Miss Love since?"

"No."

"Was Mrs. Love in the habit of being present when Captain Calcraft visited his Wife?"

"No, never."

"What was the Reason of that?"

"Because I believe Captain Calcraft and Mrs. Love were not on good Terms."

"Did she know of the Marriage?"

"No, she did not."

"Did she universally leave the Room when Captain Calcraft came in?"

"Yes; if she happened to be in the Room when they came in."

(By a Lord.) "When Lord Harborough visited Miss Love at Margaret Street, did he ever stay late at Night?"

"Not very late; sometimes he did."

"Was Mrs. Love an Invalid at that Time? Was she in the habit of going to Bed early?"

"Not when she lived at Margaret Street."

"Did you ever know of Lord Harborough staying at the House after Mrs. Love was gone to Bed?"

"No, never."

"Was he in the habit of seeing her when Mrs. Love was not present?"

"No; they were always together when his Lordship visited Miss Love. Mrs. Love was always present."

"And he was in the habit of going there frequently?"

"Yes; when she lived in Margaret Street, Cavendish Square."

"Was there any other Gentleman in the habit of frequenting her as frequently?"

"No; no one."

"You say there was a Quarrel between Mr. Calcraft and Mrs. Love; what did that originate in?"

"I do not know."

"How do you know there was a Quarrel?"

"Because I understood that Mrs. Love did not like the Idea of Mr. Calcraft visiting Miss Love."

"How did you understand it; from whom did you hear it?"

"I only heard it from Conversation in the House."

"From whom?"

"From Mrs. Love."

"What did she tell you about the Quarrel?"

"She did not tell it to me."

"Who did you hear her speak to?"

"To some People that came to the House sometimes."

"Did you ever hear her speak to Miss Love upon the Subject?"

"No."

"Or to Mr. Calcraft?"

"No."

"Did you ever hear Miss Love or Mr. Calcraft speak about it?"

"No."

"Then do you mean that at whatever Time Mr. Calcraft came, Mrs. Love went out of the Room?"

"Yes."

"Where did she go to?"

"Up Stairs to her own Room."

"And she left Mr. Calcraft and Miss Love together in her Room?"

"Yes."

"Did this happen often?"

"Yes, very often."

"How long might Mr. Calcraft remain at those Times?"

"Sometimes 'till Three or Four o'Clock in the Morning."

"And did Mrs. Love go to Bed?"

"Yes."

"Was this before the Marriage?"

"No; he did not stay so late before the Marriage as after."

"How late did he stay before the Marriage?"

"'Till One or Two o'Clock."

"When he came before the Marriage, did Mrs. Love go out of the Room?"

"Yes."

"Did Mrs. Love behave exactly in the same Way towards Mr. Calcraft and her Daughter before the Marriage as after?"

"Yes."

"When did she first know of the Marriage?"

"I believe Mr. Calcraft let her know first."

"How long after the Marriage was it?"

"Not a great while; but I cannot say as to the Time."

"How many Weeks?"

"I cannot say."

"After she knew of it, did she behave any better to Mr. Calcraft?"

"No; she never took any Notice of him at all."

"Is Miss Love a sort of Person that ever talked to her Maid?"

"Not a great deal; she did sometimes."

"Did you ever mention to her what an odd Thing it was that her Mamma would not speak to her Husband?"

"No."

"Were you ever in a Place before?"

"Yes."

"With whom did you serve before?"

"I have been in several Places."

"Are you any Connection of Miss Love's?"

"No."

"What was Miss Love's Father?"

"I do not know."

"What did her Mother live upon?"

"I cannot say; I never heard any thing about it."

"When Miss Love went to the Theatre in the Evening, did her Mother go with her?"

"Yes; if I did not go, she did."

"Did you go more frequently, or her Mother?"

"Her Mother went most frequently."

"Where did you stay in the Theatre?"

"Sometimes behind the Scenes; sometimes in the Dressing Room."

"You never went upon the Stage to perform, did you?"

"No."

"Was Miss Love ever attended by Lord Harborough to the Theatre?"

"Not that I know of."

"Did Lord Harborough ever come behind the Scenes to see her, or in the Green Room?"

"I never saw him."

"You said that no other Person used to visit her so much as Lord Harborough; has any other Person ever visited her at all?"

"Not at the Time he visited her."

"How long did Lord Harborough visit her?"

"I cannot say."

"Was it a Month or a Year?"

"It was a long Time."

"A Year and a Half?"

"I should think it was more than that."

"Used they to correspond by Letters?"

"Yes."

"Before Lord Harborough visited her, did any body else visit her?"

"I do not know; I was not living with Mrs. Love then."

"Did you ever hear her speak of any body else but Lord Harborough?"

"No."

"Was Lord Harborough wanting to marry her?"

"Not that I know of."

"Were you ever in the Room when they were together?"

"No."

"Did Mrs. Love remain in the Room when he was there?"

"Yes, she always staid with him 'till he retired."

"Were they always in the same Room?"

"Yes."

"Where did you sit in the House?"

"I was down Stairs."

"Where was the Room they were in?"

"Up Stairs."

"Who shewed Lord Harborough in?"

"I did."

"And then you saw Mrs. Love in the Room?"

"Yes."

"How long were you there during his Visits?"

"I was there a length of Time."

"A Year?"

"About a Year."

"Do you mean to say that, during all the Time, every Time you shewed Lord Harborough into the Room, the Mother was in the Room too?"

"Yes."

"Did the Mother never go separate from the Daughter?"

"No; they were always together."

"Do you mean to represent to the House, that every one of those Times that you went into the Room, Mrs. Love was in the Room with Miss Love?"

"I cannot say, because sometimes the Lady used to go up Stairs."

"When she was in the Room alone did you see Lord Harborough go into the Room to her?"

"No; because he was in the Room then."

"Did you ever see her and Lord Harborough in the Room alone, without the Mother?"

"Yes."

"Was the Mother always there, or not?"

"When his Lordship used to visit Miss Love, Mrs. Love always used to stay in the Room a length of Time; sometimes she went up Stairs, but she was down Stairs directly almost."

"How was it possible for you to know that?"

"I could always hear them; the Houses were neither of them very large."

"How late used Lord Harborough to stay of an Evening?"

"Sometimes very late."

"How late?"

"Twelve or One o'Clock, sometimes."

"Used he ever to stay 'till Three or Four?"

"I cannot say exactly."

"Did you let him out?"

"Yes."

"At those Times did Mrs. Love always remain up?"

"She always did."

"Did you never find Miss Love alone, without her Mother, when Lord Harborough went out at Three o'Clock in the Morning?"

"No."

"Who did Miss Love sleep with?"

"In Margaret Street she slept in the same Room with her Mother."

"And in the other Place, where?"

"In the next Room to her Mother's."

"Was that at the Time that Lord Harborough visited?"

"No; he had just left off his Visits then; that was in Crescent Place."

"Do you mean to represent that all the Time that Lord Harborough visited, Miss Love slept in the Room with her Mother?"

"Yes."

"Did you ever hear Miss Love speak of Lord Harborough?"

"No."

"Did Mr. Calcraft appear to know Lord Harborough ?"

"Not that I know."

"Upon the Two Occasions when they were there together, did you see Lord Harborough come in?"

"Yes, I did."

"Was Mr. Calcraft there at the Time?"

"Not the first Time."

"Then Lord Harborough was there first?"

"Yes."

"Was Mrs. Love there at that Time?"

"I cannot recollect."

"Did you let Mr. Calcraft in to them?"

"Yes, I did."

"Did you tell him that Lord Harborough was there?"

"No, I did not."

"Did he ask you who was there?"

"No; he walked in."

"Was this after Mrs. Love knew of the Marriage?"

"I cannot say, for I do not know when Mrs. Love did know of the Marriage."

"Did you hear Mr. Calcraft say any thing to Lord Harborough?"

"Yes. After Mr. Calcraft found his Lordship was there, he said that he would have Satisfaction: that I heard him say in the Passage."

"Did he say that to Lord Harborough in the Presence of Mrs. Love and Miss Love?"

"No; Miss Love was up Stairs, and Mrs. Love was in the Passage."

"Did Lord Harborough say any thing to him?"

"I did not hear him say any thing."

"Which of them went away?"

"They both went out of the House together."

"Arm in Arm?"

"No; I did not see them go Arm in Arm."

"Did he say why he would have Satisfaction?"

"No; I did not hear any more Conversation than that."

"How long after was the Second Time you saw them together?"

"I cannot recollect how long after."

"Was it a Month?"

"I cannot tell."

"Was Mrs. Love in the Room with Miss Love then ?"

"No."

"Who came in first?"

"Mr. Calcraft came in."

"Did you open the Door to Lord Harborough?"

"Yes."

"Did he ask who was there?"

"No; he asked to see Mrs. Love."

"Was Captain Calcraft married at that Time?"

"It was after the Marriage."

"Was the other Time after the Marriage?"

"Yes."

"Did Lord Harborough ask if Mr. Calcraft was there?"

"No; he asked to see Mrs. Love; and I went up and told Mrs. Love that his Lordship wished to see her. She came down Stairs, and went into the Parlour to him."

"Did Captain Calcraft see him at that Time?"

"Not that I know of."

"You stated that Captain Calcraft Twice saw Lord Harborough after the Marriage; when was it he saw Lord Harborough the Second Time?"

"No; I said that it was Twice that Lord Harborough and Mr. Calcraft were in the House together."

"What took place upon that Occasion?"

"Mrs. Love came down and saw his Lordship in the Parlour. Mr. Calcraft and Miss Love were in the Drawing Room; and Mrs. Love went into the Drawing Room, and asked Mr. Calcraft if he would allow Miss Love to speak to his Lordship."

"Were you there when she asked that Question?"

"No."

"Did Miss Love go?"

"I do not know."

"How long did Lord Harborough remain?"

"Not a great while."

"And then went away?"

"Yes."

"Are you sure those are the only Two Times?"

"I do not recollect any more Times than that."

"And that Mr. Calcraft only saw him Once?"

"Yes."

"Do you mean to say that Lord Harborough was never after seen at Miss Love's House by Captain Calcraft before the Marriage?"

"I cannot swear that, because I might be down Stairs."

"Do you mean to say that you do not know that they saw one another there?"

"Yes, I do."

"Did you mean also to swear that after the Marriage they only saw one another Once?"

"No; I cannot swear that."

"Do you mean to say that after the Marriage you never saw them both together, so as to know that they saw one another?"

"Yes; except that once."

"How long after the Marriage was it that Miss Love went to Nottingham?"

"Not a great while."

"Did you continue to live with Miss Love after the Marriage?"

"Yes, I did."

"How long did Mr. Calcraft and Miss Love continue to live together as Man and Wife?"

"They never lived together at all."

"Do you mean to say that this Marriage never was consummated by the Two Parties?"

"I cannot swear to that."

"What is your Belief?"

"They never lived in the House together, and Miss Love was never away from her Home."

"She never was away One Night from Home?"

"No."

"Was there a Sofa in the Room?"

"Yes."

"What is your Belief upon the Subject? Do you believe that they did consummate, or that they did not?"

"I cannot say."

"Have you any Belief upon it?"

"No. They were there together, and I cannot say any thing at all about it."

"Have you any Means of forming a Belief?"

"No."

"Are you married or unmarried yourself?"

"I am unmarried."

"What Age are you?"

"Twenty-four."

"How long was it after the Marriage before Mr. Calcraft and Miss Love ceased to see one another?"

"I cannot tell how long."

"Do you know whether it was a Month or a Year?"

"It was not near a Year."

"Was it Two Months?"

"I should think it was."

"What made them give over seeing one another?"

"I really cannot say."

"Do you know of nothing having happened?"

"Because she went with his Lordship, I suppose."

"Where did she go with his Lordship?"

"From the Black's Head."

"Were you with her then?"

"Yes."

"Did you continue with her?"

"No; I continued with Mrs. Love."

The Earl of Shaftesbury reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to empower the Judges of the Court of Session in Scotland, to take an Account of the Debts and Burdens affecting and that may be made to affect the Entailed Estate of Crieve, and others, in the Counties of Dumfries and Roxburgh, and to sell such Part of the said Estate as may be sufficient to discharge the said Debts and Burdens; and likewise for settling and securing the Lands and Estate of Murrayfield, and others, in the said County of Dumfries, to and in favor of Thomas Beattie of Crieve, Esquire, and the Series of Heirs entitled to take by a certain Deed of Entail made by Thomas Beattie of Crieve, Esquire, now deceased, and under the Conditions and Limitations contained in the said Deed, and for vesting in lieu thereof certain Parts of the Estate of Crieve in the said Thomas Beattie Esquire, and his Heirs and Assigns, in Fee-Simple," was committed; "That they had considered the said Bill, and examined the Allegations thereof, which were found to be true; that the Parties concerned had given their Consents to the Satisfaction of the Committee; and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and made several Amendments thereto."

Ordered, That there be laid before this House, "A Copy of the Treasury Minute of the 15th April 1831, with respect to the Reduction of the Salaries of Official Persons being Members of either House of Parliament."

Tithes, Petition from Berkeley for Revision of.

Upon reading the Petition of the Parishioners of the Parish of Berkeley, in the County of Gloucester, whose Names are thereunto subscribed; praying their Lordships "to take such Measures as they may deem fit and proper for the Purpose of doing away with the present odious System of Tithes, and substituting instead thereof an Annual Allowance to the Clergy or other Persons interested in the Receipt of Tithes, to be paid by all Classes of Persons and Property receiving Spiritual Assistance:"

It is Ordered, That the said Petition do lie on the Table.

Landlords Hypothec, Petition from Glasgow for Revision of Law of.

Upon reading the Petition of The Lord Provost, Magistrates and Council of the City of Glasgow, under their Common Seal; praying their Lordships "to subject the existing Law of "Landlords Hypothec" to such Revision and Modification as may afford suitable and due Relief:"

Upon reading the Petition of Charles Francis Ramié of the Island of Jersey, Merchant; praying their Lordships, "That Leave may be given to bring in a Bill for his Naturalization:"

Accordingly, The Earl of Shaftesbury presented to the House a Bill, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing Charles Francis Ramié."

The said Bill was read the First Time.

Bankrupts, Returns respecting, Ordered.

Ordered, That there be laid before this House, "A Return of the Total Amount of all Fees received in the Office of The Lord Chancellor's Secretary for Commissions of Bankrupt, in each Year, from 1st April 1815 to 1st April 1831; distinguishing how much thereof has been retained in each Year for the Secretaries, Clerks and other Expences of the said Office, and how much thereof has been paid in each Year to The Lord Chancellor as Part of his Lordship's Emoluments from Bankruptcy:"

Also, "A Return of the Total Amount of all Fees received by The Lord Chancellor's Purse Bearer from the different Branches of Bankruptcy Business, in each Year, from 1st April 1815 to 1st April 1831; distinguishing how much thereof has been in each Year paid to The Lord Chancellor as Part of his Lordship's Emoluments from Bankruptcy:"

Also, "A Return of the Number of Public and Private Meetings of Commissioners of Bankrupts which have been held in London during the Years 1828, 1829 and 1830; distinguishing the Number in each Year, and classing them under different Heads, according to their Nature and Purpose:"

Also, "A Return of the Number of Certificates to Bankrupts allowed by The Lord Chancellor in the Years 1828, 1829 and 1830, distinguishing the Number in each Year:"

And also, "A Return of the Amount of Fees received by each of the Commissioners of Bankrupts in London, in each of the Years 1828, 1829 and 1830, or for such Portion of the said Years as the Party making the Return shall have held the Office of a Commissioner."

Incumbents Leasing Bill presented.

The Lord Bishop of London presented to the House a Bill, intituled, "An Act for enabling Incumbents of Ecclesiastical Benefices to demise the Lands belonging to their Benefices, and for restraining Ecclesiastical and other Corporations from granting Leases for Terms for Lives, in certain Cases."

The said Bill was read the First Time.

Ordered, That the said Bill be printed.

D. of Hamilton's Estate Bill:

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable The Most Noble Alexander Duke of Hamilton and Brandon, and the Heirs of Entail of the Lands and Barony of Kinneil, in the Shire of Linlithgow, to charge the Sleeches or Land to be gained from the Sea opposite the said Barony with the Expences laid out in gaining the same."

Then several Amendments were made to the said Bill.

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H.C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Wingfield and Mr. Roupell;

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereto.

Indemnity Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to indemnify such Persons in the United Kingdom as have omitted to qualify themselves for Offices and Employments, and for extending the Time limited for those Purposes respectively until the Twenty-fifth Day of March One thousand eight hundred and thirty-two; to permit such Persons in Great Britain as have omitted to make and file Affidavits of the Execution of Indentures of Clerks to Attornies and Solicitors to make and file the same on or before the First Day of Hilary Term One thousand eight hundred and thirty-two; and to allow Persons to make and file such Affidavits, although the Persons whom they served shall have neglected to take out their Annual Certificates."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the Whole House.

Ordered, That the House be put into a Committee upon the said Bill on Monday next.
