This Day William Earl of Craven sat first in Parliament, after the Death of his Father William Earl of Craven; his Lordship having first, at the Table, taken the Oaths, and also taken and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Finlayson & Pedie v. Munro, Appeal dismissed.

Upon reading the Petition of David Munro, Respondent in a Cause depending in this House, to which Thomas Finlayson and James Pedie are Appellants; setting forth, "That on the 13th February 1826 the Appellants presented their Petition and Appeal to their Lordships against certain Interlocutors pronounced by the Court of Session in Scotland in the above Cause; and the Petitioner, on the 18th April following, put in his Answer thereto; and the Cases for both Parties having been lodged in Obedience to the Standing Orders of their Lordships House, the Cause came on for Hearing on the 3d Day of May following, and after hearing Mr. Adam as Counsel for the Appellant, the further Consideration of it was adjourned sine Die: That no Step has been taken since that Time by the Appellants to bring the said Appeal to a Hearing, and the Respondent now takes the Liberty of applying to their Lordships to have the same dismissed for Want of Prosecution;" and therefore praying their Lordships to order that the said Appeal be dismissed this House, the Agents for the Appellants having signed the said Petition as consenting thereto:"
