The Answer of The Honorable William Middleton Noel, John Wedgewood, Henry Cutler and William Leake, to the Petition and Appeal of Sir Gerard Noel Noel Baronet, was this Day brought in.

Maule et al. v. Ramsay:

After hearing Counsel, as well Yesterday as this Day, upon the Petition and Appeal of The Honorable William Maule of Panmure, M. P., and The Right Honorable Lord Viscount Duncan, Gilbert Laing Meason Esquire, of Lindertis, James Carnegy Esquire, of Balnamoon, and John Archibald Murray Esquire, Advocate, Trustees for his Creditors; complaining of an Interlocutor of the Lords of Session in Scotland, of the Second Division, of the 15th of January 1828; and praying, "That the same might be reversed, varied or altered, or that the Appellants might have such Relief in the Premises as to this House, in their Lordships great Wisdom, should seem meet;" as also upon the Answer of The Honorable Major General James Ramsay put in to the said Appeal; and due Consideration had of what was offered on either Side in this Cause:

It is Declared, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Respondent is entitled to Delivery of the Two Bonds, dated respectively the 19th February 1805 and the 14th of January 1808, in the Pleadings mentioned; but that in consequence of the Execution and Delivery of the said Bond dated the 14th of January 1808, the Obligations of the said Bond of the 19th of February 1805 ceased and became void; and with this Declaration, it is Ordered and Adjudged, That the said Petition and Appeal be, and is hereby dismissed this House, and that the Interlocutor therein complained of, be, and the same is hereby Affirmed.

West Cowgate (Newcastle) Road Bill.

The Earl of Shaftesbury reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for more effectually repairing, amending, widening and improving the Road from the West Cowgate, near Newcastle-upon-Tyne, to the Alemouth Turnpike Road, in the County of Northumberland; and for making and maintaining other Roads communicating therewith," was committed, "That they had considered the said Bill, and examined the Allegations thereof, which were found to be true; and that the Committee had gone the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Report, East India Judicature:

The Earl of Shaftesbury reported from the Lords Committees appointed to consider of the Titles of the Lords that appeared upon the Ten Lists reported to the House Yesterday, and to report the Names of those who shall appear to hold or to have held any of the Offices or Employments specified in an Act made in the Twentysixth Year of His late Majesty, for the further Regulation of the Trial of Persons accused of certain Offences committed in the East Indies, and for other Purposes therein mentioned; "That the Committee had met, and considered the Titles of the Lords contained in the List referred to them, and that it does not appear to the Committee that any Lord whose Title is contained in the said List now holds any Civil Office of Profit under the Crown during His Majesty's Pleasure, or now holds or heretofore held any of the Offices or Employments mentioned in the said Act of Parliament as Disabilities from serving according to the said Act."

Which Report, being read by the Clerk, was agreed to by the House.

Titles to be transmitted to the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery.

Ordered, That the said Titles be transmitted to the Clerk of the Crown in His Majesty's High Court of Chancery, or his Deputy, by The Lord Chancellor, under his Hand and Seal, pursuant to the Directions of the said Act.

Welsh Judicature, Petition from Pembroke & Haverfordwest against Alteration of.

Upon reading the Petition of the Gentry, Clergy, Freeholders and Inhabitants of the County of Pembroke, whose Names are thereunto subscribed; praying, "That their Lordships will refuse to entertain any Proposition for depriving the County of Pembroke of its ancient Privileges, particularly the incalculable Benefit of having Justice administered at Home, and that their Lordships will not permit so intolerable a Burthen to be imposed upon the Petitioners as that of being sent as Jurors, Witnesses and Suitors to a distant Town in another County; and that their Lordships will not shut out from the Protection of the Law a large Portion of the Inhabitants of Pembrokeshire, whose Means are quite inadequate to enable them to seek Justice at Carmarthen:"

It is Ordered, That the said Petition do lie on the Table.

Upon reading the Petition of The Mayor, Burgesses and Inhabitants at large of the Town and County of Haverfordwest, whose Names are thereunto subscribed; praying their Lordships "not to allow them to be disturbed in the Possession of their ancient Rights and Privileges, nor to sanction the Removal of the Assizes from the Town and County of Haverfordwest to Carmarthen, which would in effect deprive many of the Petitioners of the Benefit and Protection of the Law:"

Navigation Laws, Petition from South Shields for Revision of.

And then he withdrew.

The House being informed, "That Mr. Benjamin Spiller, from the Commissioners for the Repair of Roads and Bridges in the Highlands of Scotland, attended;"
