Ordinance for continuing the Committee of both Kingdoms sent to the H. C.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Edward Leech and Dr. Aylett:
To deliver unto them the Ordinance passed Yesterday, for renewing the Committee of both Kingdoms; and to desire their Concurrence therein.
Cordell, Langham, & al. versus Limbrey, & al.
Upon reading the Petition of Sir John Cordell Knight, and Alderman of London, John Langham and others, in the Cause wherein they are Plaintiffs before their Lordships, against John Limbrey and others Defendants; shewing, "Whereas their Lordships, by their last Order in the Cause, were pleased to refer the Matter to a Trial at Law, and, after Verdict and Judgement entered, to reserve the Equity of the Cause to their Lordships Determination; the Petitioners being sensible of their Lordships great and weighty Employments, now that there is a Great Seal and a Chancery open, the Want whereof caused the former Appeal and Address to their Lordships; therefore they humbly pray their Lordships Dismission of the said Matters, and that the Petitioners and the rest may be left to take their ordinary Course, if to their Lordships Judgements the same shall so seem meet."
Hereupon this House Ordered, That this Petition be shewed to the adverse Party; and this House grants the Prayer of this Petition, if Cause be not shewed to this House To-morrow Morning to the contrary.
Ordinance for the associated Counties of Essex, &c. under the E. of Manchester.
Then this House took into further Consideration the Report of the Conference Yesterday, concerning the Ordinance for the associated Counties under Command of the Earl of Manchester.
And for the better Debate, the House was adjourned into a Committee during Pleasure.
The House was resumed.
And it was appointed, this Business should be further debated To-morrow.

That they will send an Answer by Messengers of their own.
Message from thence, to expedite the Ordinance for continuing the Committees of both Kingdoms;
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Henry Mildmay Knight, and others:
To desire their Lordships Expedition in the Ordinance brought up Yesterday, concerning the Continuance of the Committees of both Kingdoms.
and with Committees Names for several Counties.
2. To desire their Lordships Concurrence in an Order for nominating and appointing some Persons to be Committees, for the County of Nottingham, and City and County of Coventry and Derby; videlicet,
That the Mayor of Nottingham for the Time being be added to the Committee for Nottingham, and to the Committee of Sequestration for the County of the Town of Nottingham; and Mr. Jervas Lomax to be added to the several Committees for the County of Nottingham.
Agreed to.
That Edward Aiscough, of Nuthall, Esquire, be added to the several Committees for the County of Nottingham.
Agreed to.

That Wm. Jesson Esquire, John Barker Esquire, Humphry Mackworth Esquire, Thomas Basnett Esquire, |
Shall be added to the Committee for Sequestrations for the City and County of Coventry. |
Agreed to.
That Thomas Sanders Esquire be added to the several Committees for the County of Derby.

The Answer returned was:
Answer.
That this House agrees to the several Persons named to be Committees in several Counties; and touching the Ordinance for Continuance of the Committees of both Kingdoms, this House will send an Answer by Messengers of their own.

Then the Ordinance for Continuance of the Committee of both Kingdoms was read Thrice.
And it being put to the Question, Whether it should pass or no?
It was Resolved in the Negative.
Propositions for Peace.
Ordered, That the Propositions shall be taken into further Consideration on Thursday.
Jennings and Dawes.
Ordered, That the Cause between Mr. Jennings and Sir Tho. Dawes shall be heard on Monday Morning next.
Lord Willoughby and Colonel King.
Ordered, That the Lord Willoughby shall have a Warrant, to summon Mr. Wallett, Mr. Hedman, Mr. Briggs, and Walter Brookes, and such other Witnesses as his Lordship shall think fit, to come and give their Testimony on his Behalf, in the Business between his Lordship and Colonel Kinge.
