Venetian Ambassador's Goods, a Pass.

Ordered, That a Pass shall be granted to Peters, to send the (fn. 1) Venetian Ambassador's Goods to Roan, as soon as they come to Dover.

Message from H. C. for a Conference on Scotch Affairs;

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Peter Wentworth and others:

To desire a present Conference, touching the Affairs of Scotland.

Ordinance for Sequestration.

2. To desire their Lordships Concurrence in a Sequestration of the Living of the Parsonage of Thornhill, in the County of Yorke.

The Answer returned was:

Answer.

That their Lordships will give a present Conference, in the Painted Chamber, as is desired; and touching the Order of Sequestration, their Lordships will send an Answer by Messengers of their own.

Countess of Thanet's Petition, for Maintenance, and Leave to go beyond Sea.

Upon reading the Petition of Margarett Countess of Thanett, desiring "To give her Licence, and Five Children, and Six Maid Servants, and Six Men Servants, to travel beyond the Seas; and that their Lordships would be pleased to settle upon her such competent Maintenance, for herself, her Children, and Family, out of her Husband's Estate, to be from Time to Time returned unto her beyond Sea."

Upon Consideration of this Petition, the House thought it not fit to give Way to have the Children conveyed beyond the Seas; but, if the Countess of Thanett will go without them herself, this House gives her Leave to go, and refers her Petition for Maintenance to the Consideration of the Committee for Sequestrations.

Vaneinden's Cause.

Ordered, That the Cause of Vanenden, Widow, shall be heard in this House on Monday next.

E. of Newport's Daughters, a Pass.

Ordered, That Two Daughters of the Earl of Newport's, the Lady Isabella and the Lady Anne, and Mr. Charles Blunt, Three Maid Servants, Five Trunks, and a Box, shall have a Pass, to go to Fotheringhay, in the County of North'ton, with a Coach and Four Horses, and Three Horsemen; the Coach, Horses, and Men, to return peaceably again to London.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conserence; which being ended, the House was resumed.

Report of the Conference about sending Committees into Scotland.

And then the Speaker reported the Effect of this Conference; which was, "To communicate, and desire their Lordships Concurrence in, divers Particulars concerning the sending of Committees into Scotland.

Ordered, That the Particulars of this Conference shall be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning, peremptorily.

E. of Northumberland, Leave to be absent.

Ordered, That this House gives Leave to the Earl of Northumb. to go to the Waters at Tunbridge, for his Health; in the mean Time, his Absence upon this House is to be dispensed withall.

Justice Berkley's Trial.

Ordered, That the Trial of Mr. Justice Berkly shall be on Saturday next, in the Morning.

Sir Peter Ricault desires to come to England, and offers Money for the Public Service.

The House being informed, "That Sir Peter Riccaut desires to come into England, and be heard, and to render himself to the Pleasure of the Parliament; and offers Two Thousand Pounds to be paid in to the State to shew his Affection:" It is Ordered, To have a Conference with the House of Commons Tomorrow Morning, to acquaint them with it.

Message to the H. C. about Justice Berkley's Trial, and with Broccas's Petition.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Rob't Rich and Mr. Page:

To let them know, that this House hath appointed the Trial of Mr. Justice Berkley on Saturday Morning next, at which Time they desire the House of Commons will proceed therein; likewife to deliver to the House of Commons the Petition of John Broccas, which their Lordships conceive to be a reasonable Request.
