PRAYERS.

Answer from the H. C. about Two Ordinances.

The Messengers sent Yesterday to the House of Commons return with this Answer:

That they agree with their Lordships in the Addition to the Ordinance for pressing of Five Thousand (fn. 1) Men. (Here enter it.) And concerning the Ordinance for Protection of the King's and Queen's Houses, they will take it into Consideration, and return an Answer by Messengers of their own.

Private Causes deferred.

Ordered, That all Private Causes shall be put off until the 12th of November next; and this Order to be printed and published.

Trafford and Wise.

Upon reading the Petition of John Trafford Esquire, shewing, "That one Wm. Wise Esquire intends to exhibit a Petition to your Lordships against him, concerning a Report made to this House by Mr. Baron Trevor, touching One Hundred and Forty Acres of Land, in St. Maries Tydd Marsh in Lyncolneshire, in the Possession of the Petitioner; and hath caused him to attend this House several Days touching his said Proceedings, to the Neglect of his important Occasions in the Country; and, seeing the Petitioner ready to answer, hath no Mind to proceed therein during the Petitioner's Stay here: Therefore he humbly prays, that, in the Absence of the Petitioner, there may be no Advantage taken against him, in this or any other Cause pretended by the said Mr. Wise, until he shall have Notice thereof, by their Lordships Order, to make Answer thereunto."

Hereupon this House granted this Prayer of the Petition, and Ordered the same accordingly.

Lady Palmer, & al. a Pass, to bury Lady Mansell.

Ordered, That the Lady Palmer, the Lady Fynch, Mrs. Davy, Four Women, and Six Men, shall have a Pass, with Two Coaches and Four Horses to each of them, and Six Saddle-horses, (fn. 1) to go to Canterbury, with the Corpse of the Lady Maunsell, and to return to London, without Molestation.
