Capt. Hume to raise Forty Men for Holland.
Ordered, That Captain Hume shall have Leave to entertain Forty Soldiers, to recruit his Company in Holland.
Bishop of Ely, &c. not to speak with Archbp. of Cant.
Ordered, That the Bishop of Ely and the Doctors of Cambridge shall not be permitted to speak or keep Company with the Archbishop of Cant.
None but Officers to inhabit The Tower.
Ordered, That none be permitted to inhabit in The Tower of London but such as have Office there.
Judge Mallet's Wife to see him.
Ordered, That Judge Mallett's Wife may be permitted to come and see, and speak with him in The Tower, but not to inhabit with him there.

Ordered, That this House approves of these Persons to be Deputy Lieutenants.
Earl of Carlisle committed to The Tower.
Ordered, That the Earl of Carlile shall stand committed to The Tower, there to remain until the Pleasure of this House be further known; and Witnesses are to be produced, to prove the Activeness of the said Earl, in endeavouring to put the Commission of Array into Execution in the County of Essex.
Ld. St. John and George Benyon.
Whereas the Lord St. John's Lands, in Essex and Bedfordshire, are, and for divers Years have been, in the King's Hands, by George Benyon's illegal Extents, prosecuted in His Majesty's Name, but to Benyon's private Profit; and the Rents thereby received by Benyon, and applied to his own Use, and Benyon still receives the Rents: It is therefore thought fit, and so Ordered, That the Rents and Profits of the aforesaid Lands shall be reserved in the Tenants Hands, until the Cause depending in this House between the Lord St. Johns and the said Benyon be determined.

"Ordered, by the Lords and Commons in Parliament assembled, That Sir Gregory Norton, Baronet, Sir Jo. Chapman, Knight, George Oglander, Esquire, Captain Hen. Chittey, Mr. George Greene, Mr. Stephen Humfrey, are approved of, to be Receivers, to receive the Monies and Plate that shall be brought in upon the Propositions, and to be Commissaries, to value the Horse and Arms that shall be brought in, for the Town of Midhurst and Rape of Chichester."

To desire their Lordships Concurrence in the Nomination of Two Persons, to be Deputy Lieutenants for the County of Oxon; videlicet, Sir Rob't Knowles and Sir Tho. Coggell.
