Lord Chief Justice of the Common Pleas appointed Speaker.
The Lord Chief Justice of the Common Pleas was appointed by the Lords to be Speaker of this House this Day.
Lord Loftus's Cause.
Ordered, That the Cause of the Lord Loftus, upon a Transmission sent up from the House of Commons, shall be heard in this House, at the Bar, on Thursday the Ninth of this Instant December; at which Time the Parties interested, or their Agents, together with the Witnesses in this Cause, are to attend this House.
Gray's Cause dismissed.
Upon reading the Petition of Ellyn Gray, this Day; it is Ordered, That her Cause depending in this House is dismissed from hence, and recommended to the now Judges of the Prerogative Court, and Court of Admiralty; who, calling all Parties interested in this Cause before them, shall have full Power to hear and determine the same, all former Proceedings in the Prerogative Court notwithstanding.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the settling and establishing of the Remainder of a Term of Eighty Years to come in certain Manors and Lands, in the County of Somersett, in Sir Francis Popham, Knight, and his Assigns.

Convoy of Arms to Chester for Ireland.
Ordered, That the Lord Chamberlain shall move the King, from both Houses, to give Command that the Carts and Waggons, which are sent from The Tower of London (fn. 1) to the City of West Chester, laden with Arms and Ammunition to be sent into Ireland for His Majesty's Occasions, shall be guarded by the Sheriffs of the several Counties through which they are to pass.
