Lords Leave to speak with the E of Strafford.
The Earl of Huntington and the Lord Clifford asked Leave of the House to go see the Earl of Strafford; which was granted.
The Earl of Dover asked Leave of the House to go speak with the Earl of Strafford, concerning some Business in Ireland, for a Friend of his.
E of Winchelsea's Bill.
This Day the Earl of Winchelsea's Bill was reported, with the Amendments; and the Bill being read first as it was, and afterwards (with the Amendments inserted) Twice, the House did approve of them, and Ordered, The Bill should be ingrossed.
E. of Cambridge spoke with the E. of Strafford.
Earl of Cambridge signified to the House, That Yesterday he had Command from His Majesty to go speak with the Earl of Strafford; which he did.
Members of the H. C. to be present at the Examinations.
Their Lordships, upon Hearing the Record read, of 50° Ed. III, Lord Nevill's Case, occasioned upon the Consideration of the Fifth Head of the Message from the House of Commons, "That some Members of the House of Commons may be present at the Examinations;" for the freer Debate hereof, the House was adjourned into a Committee, during Pleasure.
And the House being resumed; their Lordships thought it fit to have a free Conference with the House of Commons.
Examining Privy Counsellors upon Oath.
Afterwards the House was again adjourned, during Pleasure, into a Committee; and the Point debated was, Whether the Lords Privy Counsellors shall be examined upon Oath:
But, the House being resumed, it was Agreed, That the Order was to remain as it was.
E. of Cleveland to speak with the E. of Strafford.
The Earl of Cleveland asked Leave of the House to go see the Earl of Strafford; which was granted.
