Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, An Act to continue so much of an Act, made in the Thirty-third Year of the Reign of His late Majesty, as relates to the free Importation of Cochineal and Indict; and for allowing the Bounties granted by any Acts of Parliament now in Being, upon the Exportation of Corn and Malt declared or made for Exportation, and Barley steeped and entered at the Excise Office to be made into Malt for Exportation, before a limited Time.
Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House.

Dowdings Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of the United Company of Merchants of England trading to The East Indites; setting forth, That the Petitioners, having obtained a Copy of a Bill, which has passed the. House of Commons, and which is now depending before this House, intituled, An Act for regulating certain Proceedings of the General Courts of the United Company of Merchants of England trading to The East Indies humbly apprehend that such Part of the said Bill, as tends to rescind an Act done on the 6th Day of May last, by a General Court of Proprietors of the said Company will, if passed into a Law, be extremely prejudicial to the Rights and Properties of the Petitioners, and will also materially affect Publick Credit, as well as the particular Interests. of the said Company; and therefore praying, That they may be heard, by themselves or their Counsel, against such Part of the said Bill as affects their Rights and Interests:
