Dean of York and Dr. Hodson, to pay the Serjeant's Fees.

Whereas an Order was made Yesterday, touching Fees to be paid by the Dean of Yorke and by Doctor Hodson, upon Sight thereof, or else they to appear here before the Lords on Tuesday next; the House being informed, that they are out of Town; it is therefore this Day Ordered, That the Order made last Parliament, 17 Maii 1626, touching the said Fees, and the rating thereof by Sir Robert Rich (One of the Masters of the Chancery), dated the 25th July 1626, shall be sent unto the said Dean, or to Doctor Hodson, One of the Prebends of Yorke, and shewn unto them; and, if they do not pay the Money upon Sight thereof, then they are to be brought before their Lordships, to answer their Contempt.

Knyte, Justice of Banbury, to pay his Fees.

William Knyte, the Justice of Banbury, exhibited his Petition for Mitigation of Fees, being sent for to answer the Complaint of George Phillipps, Constable of that Town, prout 2 Aprilis; and, upon reading thereof, he was Ordered to pay all the ancient due Fees.

Riot at Witham between the Inhabitants and Soldiers quartered there.

Whereas it was Ordered, on the 26th of March last, That Two of the Inhabitants of Wittham, in the County of Essex (such as the Lord President should name), should be sent for to answer the Outrage lately committed upon the Soldiers there; and whereas the House was this Day told that divers of the said Inhabitants have been since warned to appear at the Council Board, to answer the same; it is now this Day Ordered, That the said Inhabitants so warned to appear at the Council Board, and such of the Soldiers whom they will affirm to be the chief Actors in the said Outrage against them, shall be warned to appear in this House, on Thursday in Easter Week, to answer the same before the Lords.

And for that both the Houses are to keep the Fast To-morrow in Westm. the one in the Abby, the other in the Parish Church, the Lord Bishop of Winton is to move His Majesty, That another Day be appointed for the Inhabitants of Westm. to keep the same next Week, and to signify His Majesty's Pleasure herein to the Lord Bishop of Lincoln, Dean of Westm.
