Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, An Act to enable and make good a Conveyance and Assurance of the Manor of Little Munden, in the County of Herteford, by Sir Peter Vanlore, Knight, Sir Charles Cæsar, Knight, and Dame Anne his Wife, to Edmund Woodhall, Esquire, and his Heirs; and to establish the said Manor upon the said Edmund Woodhall and his Heirs, according to the said Conveyance.

State of the Navy.

The Duke of Buck. signified unto the House, That he had lately been to view the Navy, according to his Place of High Admiral; and that his Grace was certainly informed, That the King of Spaine had now in (fn. 1) Readiness a far greater and stronger Navy than that of 88; and that, at Dunkerke, they had built already at least an Hundred Flat Bottoms; and they had taken many of our Men upon our own Shores, and out of our own Harbours.

His Grace moved, That, sithence the Two Houses had agreed to give a Supply to the Assistance of this great Business now in Hand (although the Grant thereof be not yet past by an Act), yet that the same may be so handled, that it may be useful, which (fn. 2) it will not be if Time be now neglected, and this Month and the next overslipped.

Wherefore his Grace further moved, That a Meeting be instantly prayed with the Commons; and to be propounded unto them, That certain monied Men may be dealt with, to disburse such a Sum of Money as for the present is requisite; and they to be secured for the Repayment thereof by Parliament, out of the Subsidies now intended to be granted, according as heretofore hath been done in like Cases; and his Grace doubted not, but some will be found to disburse the same upon that Security.

Message to the House of Commons, for Conference touching an immediate Supply to the King.

Message sent to the Commons, by Mr. Serjeant Crew and Mr. Attorney General: That their Lordships, having somewhat of Importance to declare unto them, desire a present Meeting with their former Committee for this great Business, or with as many of them as are now in Town.

The Names of the Lords of that Committee (appointed the 12th of March) were read.

Spain acquainted with the Dissolution of the Treaties.

The Duke of Buckingham further signified unto the House, That, the Spanish Ambassador being lately at the Court, His Majesty declared unto him the Dissolution of the Two Treaties; and that His Majesty hath sent a Dispatch into Spaine concerning the same.

And their Lordships Agreed, That these Matters be signified unto the Commons at this Meeting.

Message from the House of Commons, that they will consider of the Proposition from the Lords.

Message was brought from the Commons, by Mr. Recorder and others: That the Commons have taken the Proposition made unto them at this Meeting into their serious Consideration; and, for that many of their Members are not yet come, and the Matter is of that Importance, they have deferred for a Time to grow to a Resolution thereof; but, as soon as they can, they will attend their Lordships with their Answer.

Committee for Munitions, &c.

The Lords Committees for Munitions, &c. are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Council Chamber at Whitehall.

Establishing Hospitals, &c.

The Lords Committees for Confirmation and Continuance of Hospitals are to meet To-morrow, at Eight in the Morning, in the Painted Chamber.
