E. Cholmondeley and Mr. Pitt's Bill.

The Earl of Warwick reported from the Lords Committees to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable George Earl Cholmondeley and William Pitt Esquire to take, in Great Britain, the Oath of Office, as Vice Treasurer and Receiver General and Paymaster General of all His Majesty's Revenues in the Kingdom of Ireland; and to qualify themselves for the Enjoyment of the said Offices," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill, and examined the Allegations thereof, which were found to be true; and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Ordered, That the said Bill be engrossed.

Hawksworth, Leave for a Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Walter Hawksworth Esquire, heretofore called Walter Ramsden; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for establishing and confirming in and upon the Petitioner and the Heirs of his Body the Surname of Hawksworth, pursuant to the Will of Sir Walter Hawksworth, late of Hawksworth, in the County of York, Baronet, deceased:

It is Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill, as desired.

Baur, Nat. Bill:

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing Michael Baur."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Sawyer and Mr. Mountague:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Lady Lake against the Representatives of Mason.

Whereas To-morrow is appointed, for hearing Counsel, at the Bar, upon the Matter of the Petition of Dame Mary Lake Widow, presented to this House the 6th of February last, relating to Proceedings formerly had before their Lordships, on hearing the Appeal of Charles Mason Esquire, to which Bybye Lake Baronet was Respondent:

Ordered, That the said Hearing be adjourned till Monday next.

Pawnbrokers regulating, Bill.

Whereas Thursday next is appointed, for the House to be in a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better regulating of Pawnbrokers:"

Ordered, That the House be put into a Committee thereupon, on Tuesday next.

Lechmere's Bill.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of the Estate late of Richard Lechmere Junior, and Anne his Wife, in the County of Essex, pursuant to Articles entered into for the Purchase thereof; and for applying the Money arising by such Sale for discharging Encumbrances affecting the said Estate; and for other Purposes therein mentioned," stands committed, which is appointed to meet To-morrow, be put off to Friday next.

E. Plimouth's Bill.

The like Order was made, in relation to the Bill, intituled, "An Act to empower the Guardians of the Earl of Plimouth, an Infant, to make Leases of his Estate in the County of Glamorgan, during his Minority."

Swearing, to prevent, Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act more effectually to prevent profane Cursing and Swearing."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Friday next.
